How many do you immediately

How many do you really have

time to answer?

How many leave you scratching your head wondering where to

turn for quick, reliable information that you can

trust?

Leave you worried about potential risk to your

organization…or yourself!

Hi! I'm an HR

professional.

Meet Chris.

He's like many of the HR pros we often speak to

on a daily basis.

Chris has a number of years as a seasoned

HR pro.

BUT, as you know…HR trends,

regulations and laws are constantly

changing

AND vary by state and

municipality!

Regardless of how experienced you are,

knowing the “right” answer can be challenging.

One day at work the CHRO calls

Chris:

CHRO

We need to create a

training session for managers

on FMLA!

Here’s the journey that Chris takes in an attempt to

address this request…

“I’ve done this before!

I did a training session a few years

ago."

But, then Chris remembers seeing some frightening headlines not that long

ago…

Frightening Headline #3

Too much has changed!

That old training program won’t cut

it.

Chris can’t help but wonder…

What’s the consequence of using incorrect information?

What’s the cost of time spent

sourcing & validating

information?

How do I determine what’s the best information?

How do I reconcile

conflicting information?

How will I possibly get all of the rest of

my work done?

Just then Chris gets interrupted…

A hiring manager needs assistance sourcing a new

qualified candidate.

An employee wants to file a harassment complaint.

It's also time to meet with the Employee Activity committee…

Back to FMLA training!

I’ll search for resources online!

Just then Chris gets interrupted

again!

The M&A committee wants to meet to discuss an impending

acquisition.

A new staff member needs to be onboarded.

ACA reporting deadline coming up

Chris is part of a multi-state organization, with teammates in other

offices.

So he decides to reach out to them.

They’re sympathetic, but too busy with their own HR-related fires, and too uncertain of the current state of FMLA regulations to

provide much help.

“I’m sorry!” “FMLA isn’t my wheelhouse.”

“Wish we could help!”

Online forums

Chris decides to go back online and narrow his search by checking

out some online forums.

Just then Chris gets another

interruption…

Wouldn’t you know? A manager is calling with an

FMLA-related question!

The VP of operations is concerned about skyrocketing overtime and wants to talk about ways to better

control.

The CEO wants an analysis of current HR staffing and how costs could be cut by 25%.

Back to FMLA training!

SHRM

Chris then decides to turn to a reputable HR industry source of

information.

Maybe the government websites could shed some light on the

issue…National Labor Relations Bureau (NLRB)

But this is all in legalese

terms! I don’t understand

what it means.

Just then Chris gets interrupted yet

again…

The EEO-1 report needs to be filed.

The call center manager needs to terminate an employee and

has some questions.

The employee handbook needs to be updated, with

several state variations to be considered.

There’s just NO WAY this training is going to get done

if I have to do this by myself!

outside consultant

could help…
