THE HOMEOwNERS’
NEWs
EMIHOA BOARD
PRESIDENT’S CORNER By Maurice Boudreau This month we are once again electing our officers for the Organization. Several of the Officers have mentioned they would be willing to serve again for another year, but they would also be happy to see their position replaced with someone new. I urge all reading this newsletter to please let us know if you would be willing to serve for a year at one of the positions listed in the included form. I hope to see some new names when we hold our next election. Thank you for all that apply. This month we have Bryan Lober coming to our meeting to discuss our County and what is happening regarding Merritt Island. He will be taking questions. We anticipate he will be in the early part of the meeting in order to leave after our discussion. Then we will hold our elections. We have also decided at this meeting we will be offering refreshments to the attendees. If anyone has a favorite dessert they can make for our meet-ing, please do so the rest of the members can enjoy it too. If anyone wants to volunteer for the snack committee, we also welcome that too. Have a great summer and we'll issue our next Newsletter in September. Thank you & looking forward to seeing you Tuesday, May 14th at7pm.

Flight classes have increased at Merritt Island Airport. Increased classes teaching U.S. students & foreign students & take offs are at 3/4 throttle creating extremely loud roars over our homes. Neighbors in Brevard County have formed a solar co-op to make it easy to save on solar. An experienced team ensures you un-derstand how solar works, how it can be financed, and how it can be installed on your home. The group is holding unbiased, install-er-neutral information sessions to educate the public about solar & recruit new members. Our closest info session will be in the Solar Energy Center in Cocoa (next to EFSC aka BCC) on Wednesday, May 22 at 5:30pm. Co-op members can save as much as 20% off by joining the group. Joining the co-op is not a commitment to purchase panels. Co-ops take advantage of the group’s bulk-purchasing power to get discounted pricing & a quality installation. They also benefit from the educational process to
feel confident that they are mak-ing the right decision about going solar. Homeowners together in a group, or co-op, choose an in-staller on behalf of the entire group through an open & com-petitive bidding process. The se-lected installer provides everyone in the group with a personalized proposal for their consideration. Participants sign their own con-tracts with the installer, & every-one gets the discount. All home-owners who reside in Brevard County are eligible to participate in the co-op. Residents interested in joining the co-op can sign up for more information at the co-op web page. www.solarunitedneighbors.org/co-ops/ florida/space-coast-solar-co-op/
