THE HOLY SEASON OF LENT… A TIME OF CONVERSION

It is hard to believe, but the Season of Lent begins this Wednesday. I pray the Lenten Season is a time of renewal for you and your family. In the bulletin this week you will find our Ash Wednesday and Lenten schedule. On Ash Wednesday, we are offering a Mass or Service six (6) times throughout the day, not including our visits to area Nursing Homes and to Jefferson – Kennedy Hospital. Stations of the Cross will be conducted during Lent after the 7:00 p.m. Mass on Thursday (in Spanish) and on Friday (in English) at St. Lawrence Church. We will also pray the Stations every Friday at noon in St. Luke Church. There will also be plenty of opportunities to experience the Sacrament of Reconciliation in our parish. Confession is available before the Saturday evening Masses and every weeknight at St. Lawrence Church at 6:15 p.m. before the evening Mass. The Lenten Season is a season of Conversion. Please join us and invite your family, neighbors, and friends to this year’s Lenten Faith Program - Conversion: Following the Call of Christ, presented on DVD by Bishop Robert Barron. Using six stories from the Bible, Bishop Barron demonstrates how ordinary, sinful people like us are met by Jesus and called to a better life through him. We will offer the program on Tuesday mornings, at 10:00 a.m., beginning, March 12 in the Our Lady of Grace Chapel in Lindenwold (Next to St. Lawrence School). We will also offer the program on Thursday evenings, at 6:30 p.m., in St. Luke Church, beginning March 14. The Conversion Program will be offered on Monday evenings in Spanish in St. Luke’s Church at 7:00 p.m. beginning March 11. Daily Mass, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the Stations of the Cross, and our Lenten Faith Program Conversion are a few ways that you can make this Lent a time of renewal. LA SANTA TEMPORAD DE CUARESMA, UN TIEMPO DE CONVERSION

Es difícil de creer, pero la temporada de Cuaresma comienza este miércoles. Ruego que la temporada de Cuaresma sea un tiempo de renovación para usted y su familia. En nuestro boletín de esta semana tendremos nuestros horarios del Miércoles de Cenizas y Cuaresma. El Miércoles de Ceniza, tendremos una misa y seis (6) servicios durante el día, sin incluir nuestras visitas a los asilos de ancianos del área y al Hospital Jefferson - Kennedy. Las estaciones de la Cruz serán durante el tiempo de la Cuaresma después de la Misa de 7:00 p.m. los jueves (en español) y los viernes (en inglés) en la iglesia de San Lorenzo. También todos los viernes al mediodía rezaremos las estaciones en la iglesia de San Lucas. Al igual en nuestra parroquia tendremos muchas oportunidades para experimentar el Sacramento de la Reconciliación. La confesión está disponible los sábados antes de las misas por la tarde y durante semana todas las noches en la iglesia de San Lorenzo a las 6:15 p.m. Antes de la misa por la noche. Nativity Council 2976

On Tuesday, March 5, Nativity Council is having a fundraiser over at the Texas Roadhouse on Cross Keys Road in

Sicklerville. You may dine anytime between 4:00pm and 10:00pm. There is NO added cost to you, you just pay normal

menu prices and the restaurant donates a portion of your bill back to the Council. The only thing necessary is a flier to be presented to your server. We have the fliers and will distribute them after

Masses on Saturday and Sunday, March 2nd and 3rd.

If for any reason you are unable to get a flier just text or email me with your email address and I will send you one. They can be

Holy Family Council #7800 Annual Night at the Races—Spring Fling Derby

Saturday, April 6 from 6:30pm to11:00pm. Doors open at 6:15pm.

The cost is $20.00 per person. Early ticket purchases, $17.00 per person for groups of 10 or more and $30.00 per person with limited availability at the door. Price includes buffet, beer and setups (BYOB).

The State of NJ requires that no money can be used in the betting process, so cash is converted into play money.

Part Time Hispanic Music Director Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Shrine is looking for a Hispanic

Ministry choir director who will train our Spanish choir, will

hold a once-a-week rehearsal and will accompany them at 11am

regular Sunday Mass and special liturgies.

Requirements include proficiency in piano or guitar, 2-3 years of

church music experience & must be a practicing Catholic in good

standing.

- First Reconciliation is scheduled on Saturday, March 9, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church for all children in the Faith Formation Program who will be receiving their First Holy Communion this year. - Interviews for all Faith Formation Confirmation candidates will be held on Monday, March 11, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in St. JPII School. Interview guides were emailed home in January. - We are asking all parishioners to keep our Confirmation candidates in their prayers as they begin final preparations for our parish celebration of Confirmation in April.
