• Jazz began booming by the 1920s.

• This time period became known as “the roaring twenties”, due to the fact that a lot of political change, fashion statements, and sounds were being produced.

• An amazing Trumpeter erupted out of this time frame. A man named Louis Armstrong revolutionized music with his trumpet.

• Blues Flourished in the 1930s. • A search was needed to find

young talented musicians who could voice the struggles of the depression.
