Hello everyone and welcome back to the Hinckley Legacy for Chapter 15: Vacation All I EverWanted.As you may have guessed from the title of this chapter, the Hinckleys are on a vacation to the

beautiful Twikki Island. Just as in the most previous chapters Lana, the 5th generation heiresswill continue to narrate and if I have anything to add it will be at the bottom of the slideunderneath "-----" and in italics.

Hello everyone! It's Lana Hinckley again and we're here on Twikki Island. Ivy, my best friend andfavorite sister in law*, and I have long planned this trip, and we're finally here! We've bothbrought our two oldest children along with us and left our husbands at home with a toddler a

piece.-----*Ivy is married to Lana's brother Luke, and she is her only sister in law, therefore her favorite.

My two oldest children Ed and Cass are ecstatic to be here. They couldn't believe that theycould get out of going to school for something as "cool" as a trip to an island. Little do they knowthey'll still be studying for an hour a night, which isn't a lot at all, but I have a feeling they may

put up a fight about it.

Before we head out to our first destination we all take some time to enjoy the sun."Hey Ed, I think that tower is leaning a little bit.""Nu uh Gavin, it's perfect"

"Well... I guess it's okay" said little Gavin caving under his older cousin's "wisdom".

The girls tried to start their own castle too, but go distracted by their matching bathing suits."Cass! We should totally pretend that we're twins!""But Lora, we don't look anything alike..."

"That doesn't matter, adults are pretty stupid sometimes and think that kids of the same genderdressed alike must be twins.""Well... I suppose... but isn't the fact that we're cousins good enough?""Hmm... I guess so."

After more fun in the sun, the girls got changed out of their bathing suits and all of the kids satdown to draw for a while, while Ivy and I made some lunch.

After a quick salad for lunch we all headed down to the public beach. It has this really cool, oldpirate ship that is said to be haunted still by its most recent and last captain. I don't reallybelieve that that's true, but it is still a really neat set up. You can play swords with a dummy

pirate, pretend to steer the ship, "walk the plank" and much, much more. I think I enjoyed myselfa bit too much!

I bought the kids the local favorite, Pineapple Surprise for a snack later on in the afternoon.They joked about it being "surprisingly" good.

Ivy found out first hand that it was true! The ghost captain chased her out of his old cabin just toprove it.

Naturally I wanted to see if it was some guy, or a filmstrip gag set up as a practical joke. I'm stillnot quite sure if was a ghost or a projection, but it was entertaining enough.

Ed saw me interacting with the Ghost Captain and so he decided to come over and see what itwas all about as well. The Ghost Captain taught both of us a Sea Chantey* it was really quiteamusing.-----*You have to get your daily relationship up to 7 with the captain before he teaches you the seachantey, this is a vacation memento, so if you're trying to collect them all, make sure you visitthe beach with the pirate ship. Oh, and here's a tip, have a sim who has the OFB reward thatmakes a new acquaintance start out with 15 points for their daily relationship, you'll learn thatchantey in record time!

Ivy eventually came back up on the ship to get a closer inspection of the Ghost Pirate while Edkept him pre-occupied. Meanwhile I danced with my nephew Gavin to the pirate's song.

You know, I'm really glad that we decided to take this trip while Ed and Cass were still young. Idon't know if things would be going as smoothly if they were both angsty teens!

We ended up staying at the beach until sundown before heading back home. We were all reallyexhausted.

Well, I guess we weren't allreally exhausted. The girls stayed up into the wee hours of themorning talking about all of the cute guys that they met during the day.I'm not going to lie, I'm not very excited about the thought of Ed or Cass having their firstboyfriend or girlfriend... they just seem too young!

The next room over, the boys had fallen asleep as soon as their heads hit their pillows. I think Iknow of two people who will be up bright and early tugging on their mother's hands trying to geta move on the day!

As I went to bed that night, I was sort of sad that Ivy had already fallen asleep. This trip hasbeen bringing up memories of college life when she and I would stay up talking about everything"important." Like Sandy Bruty's horrid taste in pants, Goopy's insatiable lust for young women,Marsha's infatuation with the telephone, Professor Cosmos, now Katy Beasley who had an affairwith one of her young students.I don't know how all of those things always seemed so pressing, so important... but I wish thattonight we could've maybe relived those moments. It cheered me up as I passed the girl's roomto hear them gossiping away about Meadow Thayer's recent break-up, some things neverchange.Before I went to bed that night I wrote Don a long email, I can't wait to get home to my sweetyand tell him that I'm pregnant again. I just can't bring myself to do it over the phone or throughan email, it's too special for that.

The morning came too soon today, I was comfy in my bed when Ed came running into thebedroom telling me that my friend/dance instructor* Tracy was here for our hula lessons.-----*Tracy is just a local who happens to pass Don and Lana's vacation home often and taughtthem how to hula when they were there on their honeymoon.

Everyone had a great time learning how to hula, and I think both of the boys were quite takenwith Tracy. Ed told me afterwards that one day he hoped to marry someone as beautiful asTracy. I told him not to get too ahead of himself!

We all spent the rest of the afternoon just hanging out around the house relaxing. The boyscontinued their quest in making the perfect sand castle, Ivy and Loralie made some cookies inthe kitchen, and Cass and I got to spend some good mother daughter time reading some books,painting each other's toe-nails, and doing some more hula.

The last night of our vacation seemed to come out of nowhere, so I made sure the kids satdown with their textbooks to get a refresher for their first day back at school the next day.

And rewarded them by letting them sleep under the stars for their final night here.

boy was I glad to be home! I loved Twikki Island, but I miss Don so terribly. We haven't beenapart for that long since when I first moved back home into my parent's house after college. Thevan driver dropped Ed and Cass off at school on our way home, the poor things, I'm glad I don'thave to go sit in a classroom right now!

So that means Don and I have the house all to ourselves! Well.. as much as you can with athree year old napping in the other room. ;)

I shook my head no, "Although Ivy was probably suspicious when I kept on throwing up in themorning," I said as I chuckled."I'm going to go call Luke, I won our bet! I bet him one of you two would come home pregnant!"He said as he laughed."Don!""Oh, it's not like that sweety, we figured one of you were pregnant and wanted to get away fromdiaper duty a little while before doubling the load."

As Don turned joking that he needed to call Luke at once I felt the first kick* from our baby."Don, I just felt something"-----*Kick = first baby bump in this instance. ;)

Don wasn't quick enough to feel our baby kicking, but it didn't matter, it was sure to happen 500more times before the baby was here!"Darling, this is most wonderful news! I can't wait to be a father^4""Don you're such a dork! Besides, what if we have twins?"

Don and I "caught up" a little bit more in the bedroom, and then I sat down to write some moreof my kid's book, and he went out to work on his car. Shortly after Noelle* visited our houseagain to welcome me to the My Muse Music and Dance Studio. Maybe Ed and I can go togethersometime soon!

-----*I definitely had Noelle's name wrong last chapter. There's another female blonde sim with thathairstyle roaming around the neighborhood named Rose, I got the two confused!

It wasn't too long before the kids came home from school. It turns out that that late nightstudying helped Cass ace a test on her first day back to school. She was literally jumping upand down with excitement as she showed her Dad."Daddy! I got the highest grade on the multiplication test!"

"That's wonderful Cassie, congratulations."

When Ed got home, he immediately ran to the phone to make a call."Hi, may I speak to Nicole please?" -- Ah, Nicole, I bet those two have more in their stars thanjust friendship..."Hey Nicole!"

"Ed, I barely just got home, what do you want?""Oh come on Nikki, you've gotta have time to talk to me""Okay, but make it quick, you better be apologizing for dance today!""Okay, okay, how many times do I have to tell you, I don't want to wear pink! It's enough that Ihave to wear leotards. You could at least let me wear a manly color. Besides, I don' like howtight everything is, I feel like I'm not even wearing anything.""You didn't have to yell at me about it in front of the whole class though!"Okay I'm sorry, but I get to wear black, and you can wear pink. You look much better in pinkanyway."

"Ah, you're too much."I stopped listening at that point, for a little boy he sure knew how to melt a woman's heart. What

Well, the time has finally come. Tonight is Ed's birthday, and he made up with Nicole just in time,maybe he convinced her to come over.All of the family that wasn't working showed up for Ed's birthday, and gathered around him as hemade his wish.

Ed looked around as we all clapped and waited for him to twirl around into his teenage self.

Ed didn't let me get too close to him with the camera before he "fixed his hair"* so I snappedthis one quickly while he and Cass conversed over cake."Ed, do you feel any different?""Nope, it's just like any other birthday around here, tons of family members all goofing around in

the living room on the piano.""I suppose, but do you feel any different, I mean you are a teenager now."-----*Ed's custom hair reverted to that awful shaggy maxis cut when he grew up instead of himkeeping his original hairstyle. I'll give him a makeover before we get too close.

Ed saved himself from more inquisitive conversation with Cass by escaping to the bathroom tofix his hair first, and then to his bedroom to change his clothes. To his delight he heard thedoorbell ring soon after.

It was his pink obsessed dance partner and friend Nikki from school. She had apparently gottenover Ed yelling at her during dance class."Nikki, you came!""Yeah, I got to thinking that you were right, I do look much better in pink than you do... but I

would still like us to match, how about blue, green or red? Or heck, I look good in black too, wecould stick with black?""Sure, whatever you want as long as it's not pink.... but aren't you forgetting something?" Ed didn't have time to respond, Nikki was already pulling him in for their first kiss.I'm so glad that I had the camera ready! Such a cute moment to catch on film.

Just like any other new romance, more time was to be spent kissing, and hugging and flirtingthan actually conversing, so I decided to give the budding couple some alone time.-----I just want to say that I love the ability to grow up townie kids that came with FreeTime. It's been

coming in really handy! I grew up Nikki with Ed tonight.I will also take this moment to give you all Ed's stats.Ed rolled Family as his primary aspiration and romance as his secondary... which should be aninteresting combo.His ltw is to become the minister of education, and he is "turned on" by charismatic blondes.

Ed ended up having a great birthday party tonight. Everyone had tons of fun, and begged us tohave a party for Corin's birthday. Mom and Dad were sad to hear that we weren't throwing a bigparty... but they understood that I didn't want that much stress so close to the end of mypregnancy.

Speaking of the family, I took this picture of them all goofing off in the living room. Mom and Daddanced to Leah's piano playing while Ivy and Luke chatted it up.

After everyone had gone home for the night Ed hopped on the computer and started applyingfor scholarships. It's wonderful to have such responsible and sensible children.

Life quickly resumed it's normal course. Little Corin wanted as much attention as ever. I can'teven imagine him as a child, he'll probably be friends with the whole neighborhood once he getsa telephone in his little hands.

Cass has taken a lot of interest in the baby on the way. She gets so excited everytime the babykicks she nearly jobs away from me in surprise.

So I finally did it! I finished writing my kid's book, the delivery man brought us the first everbound copy of it today. I snatched it up quickly from him.

I went back into the house and found Corin. I sat there starring at the cover for a little while as itsank in that I had actually gotten published! Corin was the one who finally shook me out of mydaze."Momma, you gonna read now?"

Oh, of course sweety... this book is about ladybugs Corin. Do you know what a ladybug is?"Uh... mmm"You know what they are, you see them sometimes when you're with Mommy, they're little andred and they can fly."Ohhh they live outside... in garden!"Yes they do, now do you want to hear a story about what a ladybug does all day long?"Yes!"Okay... 'Once upon a time...'

'There lived a little ladybug named Lucy. Lucy was a curious bug, she would rather fly aroundthinking about how the sun rose and set than do her chores like her friends...'I finished up telling Corin the story, and I was relieved when he asked to hear it again. I wasgetting a bit tired though so I put Corin back in his room with his blocks so I could go lay down

for a nap.

Ed's new hobby lately has been spending time at the telescope. He's already found a previouslyunknown star and received a $500 reward from the astronomy center of Pleasantview.

I am getting a little bit bored lately now that I've finished my book. After debating about it for along time, I told Don how I was feeling and he told me that tonight we would have a nice date athome. He told me to get dressed up and the whole nine yards. So as Cass ran outside to greetDon when he got home from work tonight, I finished touching up my makeup and waiting for my

date.

Our "dates" these days are very low key. We just dress up, put the kids to bed, eat some dinnerand enjoy some alone time together.

Well... we put the kids to bed, but they have minds of their owns. When we went to check onCorin a little bit later he was still awake. He told us that he was too excited to go to sleepbecause of his birthday tomorrow.

And Cass was banging away on the piano. Even though they weren't sleeping everyone waspre-occuppied enough that Don and I were able to head to our bedroom.

The celebrations in the kitchen continued on without me. I could hear them start to sing to Corin,so I hurried up with the twins, and rushed into the kitchen after putting Darrin down in his crib.

Ed seems to be a natural* with kids. When I looked over at him cuddling Darrin, he was socaring and gentle... he makes me such a proud mother!------*Ed and Lana both have the family aspiration. And Ed was too cute with Darrin, I just had toinclude this picture.

After a bottle, a bath, and some attention Bree was ready for a nap. I gently laid down myyoungest child, adoring her petite expressions.

"Okay Darrin, it's time for you to take a short nap. I've left Nikki waiting for long enough."-----As you may have noticed, the twins' room is Cass's old bed room. I had to remodel a bit for thetwins, and I figured it'd be best to keep them on the first floor. You'll see Corin's newlyredecorated room, and Cass's new room in a few slides from now.

"Hey Nikki, I've got the twins down for a nap, Cass is practicing her violin and Corin is in hisroom. Are you ready for some alone time* or what?"-----*Ed's romance side is kicking in, he and Nicole had a date at home while the parents wereaway. During this date they went steady which was a want corresponding to his family

aspiration desires, but unfortunately it was a "bad" memory for him. I was a little bummed thatthe romance secondary aspiration is playing that much of a role in Ed's wants... but oh well.

Cass is pretty much glued to her violin these days. When we had to remodel and add on anupstairs, Cass was the first to volunteer switching rooms. Ed loved his room too much, andCorin was too young to use the stairs so as you can see Cass got a good deal out of it.

True to his word, as soon as Don got home that night he and Corin spent some time togetherfurther celebrating Corin's big day.

When I finally got home from work I found the two of them upstairs* playing chess. It turns outthat they had been playing together for two hours straight!-----*Here's a glimpse of the new hallway/living area/landing of the upstairs that overlooks thedownstairs living room. I am seriously in love with the fact that there are ceilings... I know I've

mentioned it a few times now, but it makes houses look so much better!

Ed and Nikki ended up having a dream date tonight, and I found myself in a tough spot when Ihad to ask Nikki to leave for the night since it was getting late."Okay Mrs. Hinckley, sure thing, but can you give Ed and I a moment?"'Of course de...' I replied but was shocked as Nikki pulled my son in for a huge kiss!"Good night Mrs. Hinckley" Nikki beamed as she turned and waved goodnight to Ed. I think I

know what Ed will be dreaming about tonight!
