The wind was a torrent of darkness. As Tim heard a ghostly sound.Like a wild whinging hound.Tim the ostler wondered, wondered,Wondered.Tim the ostler wondered frominside the horses’ dark stable.

The wind was a torrent of darkness,He trees were shaking with terror,As Tim the ostler listened,His heart was pounding fast,The race was almost over,His horse was coming last, last, last,As he prayed and begged for the prize,Appeared Bess and the Highwayman in their normal size.

The Ostler

The wind was a torrent of darkness, while Bess and the Highwayman kissed,Tim the Ostler peeked out his window, wondering what he missed. In his mind he hissed, like a slithering snake. And every time he saw them he got jealous, jealous,And every time he saw them that was his big mistake!

The Wind was a torrnet of darkness in the old inn yard.Tim stood in the darkness the gate was locked and bared. The Highwayman and Bess had their lovers talk.Tim the ostler listened, listened, listened, Tim the ostler listened and as he did he thought.I’ve got to get rid of that man or my marriage is bought.

This is a story about the tragic death of my loved one... Bess

One lonely night when I was feeding the horses I heard a “Tlot, Tlot Tlot” outside. “Who could this be at this hour?” I wondered.

Then I found out, it was a man riding on a black horse, it was if it was covered with a layer of ashes! He tapped his whip on the door. I knew my lovely Bess would be in bed by now but my prediction was wrong! Well when I say that I really meant I was right first time - the mysterious man now whistled a tune to the window. Who should be waiting there? But my beautiful Bess.

What happened next shook me up: the man and Bess had started kissing! What shook me up even more was when he turned around; he was wearing a Highwayman mask!

Dear diary, As I plaited my long black hair, I heard the door bell rang once or twice. It was a handsome young man. He had a rich velvet smell. It rushed to my nose.He kissed my long black hair (after all he is rich) Finally he said ‘watch for me by moon light, wait for me by moon light.’ He rode off in the purple moor Some how the red coat men barged into my house whilst the others drank my dad’s ale . They then ran up stairs and gagged me. They had the hardest ropes. I nearly choked my self to death . I was so terrified; every window was covered with death It felt like years before the Highwayman came. A long black pistol was pointing at my breast. I took a deep breath and moved my finger, and bang I was dead! I killed my self to warn the Highway man.

I want to tell a tragic story.

The stars twinkled down on me like a spotlight, as I galloped across the purple moor to the inn door. Eventually, I got to the inn where my loved one was waiting. There she was, the most cutest women in the land: Bess. I whistled to the window. Bess opened the window. Having decided to rob tonight I whispered, “watch for me by moonlight,” and kissed her silk like hair and galloped to the west.

After two days on the highway I decided to see Bess. As I rode back to the inn, excitement rushed through my veins; at last I was there. “ BANG.” A musket shattered the silence.

Bess’s diary

As I was plaiting my hair and putting a dark red love-knot in my hair, The Highway man whistled a tune to the window .then the he rode away on his skinny legged horse.

Unfortunately the red coats came and gagged me and tied me up to the bed. Once my finger touched the fat trigger, I killed myself because I wanted to warn the highwayman. Unfortunately it made him want to come and see me.

Still on a winters night he comes to see me and kisses my hair and rides away to go and rob people. Although I think that it’s nasty and mean. But I’m glad that the solders are not ever going to come again. Me and the highwayman can get married now there are not any rules.

The wind was a torrent of darkness, across the icy yard.Tim crept from the stables, past the red-coat guard.Tim heard his loved one speaking, speaking, Tim heard his loved one speaking, across the landlord’s yard.

When the moon is hovering like a bird over the shuddering trees,

The highwayman

Still on a murderous night they say,When the marvellous moon shines through the frosty trees,

When the cobbles are clatters of joy,A fearful highway man comes shrieking, shrieking, shrieking,

A thunderous highwayman comes shrieking up to the old in door.

And still of a haunting night, they say,When the wind is blasting through the trees,

When the moon is a gleaming ghost ship wrecked upon cloudy seas,And also when the road is a windy ghost town,

The fog covers up the sky like a shadowy gown,A highwayman comes cursing, cursing, cursing,

A highwayman comes cursing up to the old inn door.

On a still of a freezing dusk, the frostbite engulfs the trees. When the Moon and stars collide, they twinkle like calm seas.

The pathway sparkled like glitter, like a blanket leading to the door,A highwayman comes gliding
