2017 FOLKLIFE

FESTIVAL POSTER

The 2017 poster features an image of an original oil painting by 99-year old Hannibal

artist Len Moss. The image captures festival dancers entertaining the festival crowd in a

typical street scene during the annual event. One of the dancers, Jean Vincent, has been

involved with the festival since its first year, as has Moss. The Hannibal Arts Council

thought it a worthy tribute to both individuals’ dedication to the festival to use the

painting image which so fondly sums up the fun, tradition and foundation of the festival

in Hannibal.
