Who we are

• The Greene County 100 Club is a tax deductible, charitable organization made up of citizens who appreciate the job performed by law enforcement and fire fighters and we want to show our support.

Our Mission:

• The Greene County 100 club is a 501(C)3, not-for-profit organization that provides financial support to the surviving spouse and dependent children of police officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty in Greene County, Missouri.

Who we help?

• Those covered are full-time, part-time or volunteer law enforcement officers or firefighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice while performing official duties for a law enforcement or fire agency of, or within, Greene County.

Beneficiaries to Date

• Greene County Deputy Sheriff, Gary McCormack, was killed in the line of duty October 6, 2007 and his family was the first recipient of 100 Club funds.

• The second recipient was the family of Monte Ruby, security guard and certified law enforcement officer, who was killed as the results of injuries sustained on August 2, 2008.

Benefits

• Surviving spouses are given immediate financial support, within 24 hours of the death of a police officer or fire fighter. The initial goal of the Greene County 100 Club is to provide $5,000 to cover expenses.

Our Goal

• We need $500,000.00 to fund the current service programs. We are currently at $120,000.00.

• The services we can provide are directly related to the funds we raise.

Value Statement

• We are a community-based organization dedicated to understanding and supporting the needs of law enforcement and fire fighting agencies who risk their lives to keep the community safe.

• We pledge to act in accordance with all federal and state laws and standards of ethical business practices. We carry out and achieve the mission of the 100 Club by working cooperatively, in a spirit of open, honest communication with each other and our communities.

Vision• As our club grows, so will the programs we can offer.

Additional programs may be added to provide the following benefits:– Funeral expense reimbursement– Monument expense assistance– Assistance with debt relief or housing expenses– Educational assistance to accredited, Missouri

institutions of higher education.– Provide safety equipment and training programs to improve the

safety of law enforcement officers and firefighters.

• These benefits are subject to the availability of funds and depends upon the community's ability to generate adequate funds to expand the services.
