(Son 2:14) O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the
stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy
voice, and thy countenance is comely.
The symbolism of the dove is nthe the word of god is always see in the person of the Holy Spirit
But here in this passage the Bride is referred to as a dove by the Bridegroom
This should be a large stretch with the fact that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit
NOTES
(Son 2:14) O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the
stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy
voice, and thy countenance is comely.
(1Co 10:4) And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that
followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
(Eph 2:6) And hath raised us up together, and made
us sit together in heavenly places in Christ
Jesus:
(Son 2:14) O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the
stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy
voice, and thy countenance is comely.
The word translated “stairs” also means “latter”
So we compare scripture with scripture and comes to a place in Genesis where Jacob as a dream ….
NOTES
(Gen 28:10) And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.
(Gen 28:11) And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all
night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place,
and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.
(Gen 28:12) And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the
earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending
on it.
(Joh 1:48) Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I
saw thee.(Joh 1:49) Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God;
thou art the King of Israel.(Joh 1:50) Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou
shalt see greater things than these.(Joh 1:51) And he saith unto him, Verily,
verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon
the Son of man.
(Son 2:14) O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the
stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy
voice, and thy countenance is comely.
(Psa 71:8) Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour
all the day. (Psa 51:15) O Lord, open thou my
lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
(Psa 145:2) Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for
ever and ever. (Php 4:6) Be careful for nothing; but
in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let
your requests be made known unto God.
(Son 2:15) Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that
spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
(Son 2:15) Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that
spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
(Joh 15:1) I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
(Joh 15:2) Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and
every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth
more fruit.(Joh 15:3) Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto
you.(Joh 15:4) Abide in me, and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
(Heb 12:1) Wherefore seeing we also are
compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily
beset us, and let us run with patience the race that
is set before us,
(Son 2:15) Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that
spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
(Eze 13:3) Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the
foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have
seen nothing!
(Eze 13:4) O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.
(Luk 13:31) The same day there came certain of the
Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill
thee.(Luk 13:32) And he said unto them, Go ye, and
tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the
third day I shall be perfected.
(Son 2:16) My beloved is mine, and I am his: he
feedeth among the lilies.
(Joh 17:21) That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe
that thou hast sent me.
(Joh 17:22) And the glory which thou gavest me I
have given them; that they may be one, even as we are
one:
(Son 2:16) My beloved is mine, and I am his: he
feedeth among the lilies.
(Rev 1:20) The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my
right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches:
and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven
churches.
(Rev 2:1) Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the
seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
(Psa 45:1) To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim,
for the sons of Korah, Maschil, A Song of loves. My
heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the
pen of a ready writer.
(Son 2:17) Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved, and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the
mountains of Bether.
(Mal 4:1) For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and
the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor
branch.
(Mal 4:2) But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as
calves of the stall.
(2Pe 1:19) We have also a more sure word of
prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as
unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day
dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
(Son 2:17) Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved, and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the
mountains of Bether.
Mountains in the word of God are a type for nations (ie Gog, Ezk. 38 and 39, Samaria(Amos 6:1).
NOTES
(Eze 35:2-3) Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and
prophesy against it, And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine
hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.
(Zec 14:4) And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is
before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof
toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very
great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward
the south.
