*When including all the walls built in different dynasties all over china. The one often referred to when talking about the great wall of china is only 6,000 kilometers long, or 3,728 miles long.

*The Huns were a group of nomadic (roaming), warlike people from the steppes (grasslands) of North Central Asia north of China.

***A municipality is a city or town with its own local government.
