Special circumstances: What if there is no page number? If you cite an author, you can just include the page number. If there is no author, use the title of the article. Amount: You should have approx. 2-3 citations per paragraph Short hand: If you cite an author and page number more than once in a paragraph, you only need the page number after you write the author and page #.

Not at all! On the contrary, citing sources actually helps your reader distinguish
