Our River
• Our river is located in southwestern Ohio- near Dayton.
• It’s 117.0 miles long which makes it a river.
• The major causes of impairment are flow and habitat alterations, siltation, and nutrient enrichment.

Great Miami Land Use Map
• All the areas that are pink indicate that they are urban areas. The yellow, the major land use, is agriculture areas.
• Our watershed covers 4,124 square miles of SW Ohio.

Methodology Page
• Using the internet we found a chart with information about water quality on the Great Miami River. This information was provided by the Ohio EPA.
• Using this information we created graphs on Microsoft Excel.

Hypothesis 1
• When the average of total nitrogen increases, the average of BOD increases.

• As QHEI increases, ICI increases.
• As QHEI increases, IBI increases also.

Conclusion
• In conclusion to our project, we found out that the Great Miami is a healthy river. It has good levels of nitrogen, BOD, IBI, ICI, and TSS.
