• Remember theme = Topic + Author’s opinion of the topic

• Tell me some theme topics that we have discussed!

• AND MUST SET FORTH THE PURPOSE OF YOUR PAPER – What are you proving?

Finding Proof

• This is your evidence to prove your point• Direct quotes• Paraphrased event

• You may already have these in your notes...I brought up some ideas in my presentations and your *hopefully* already highlighted some major ideas that relate to the theme you will discuss!

Outline

• Review it. This is a possible set up for your paper!

• Your body paragraphs should have 8 sentences – WRITE THIS DOWN!

• Opening/Closing should have 5 sentences!

Rough Draft/Final Draft

• Rough draft due Tuesday, March 12th • We will do some in-class work on

Monday, March 11th.

• Final draft due Friday March 15th
