structure on the 1,226-acre campus.
A quadrangle of matchinglaboratory buildings, and a central core building, are planned for the campus.
Cost of developing the campus is estimated at $20.6 million, fiscal years ending1968. This includes for bui , $3.8 for s equipment and furnishings, and $3.7 million for land. In addition, a $4.4 million investment is required for start-up costs, unrecovered overhead, and independent research.
\ Sponsored research during)he fiscal year which ended June 30, 1964, a level of $1,893, Annual research support is expected to exceed the $14 million level by 1968.
Chartered February 14, 1961, by the State of Texas,the Center emphasizes postdoctoral research and study, at the same time making basic research findings of the faculty and staff available to industrial research and development organizations, to be translated into new products and services.

GRCSW LUNCHEON IN NEW YORK
A luncheon introducingthe GRCSW to Gotham was held in New York City's Plaza Hotel on October 22.
In attendance from the Qenter were: GRCSW president Dr. L. V. Berkner, Vice Presidents R. N. Stohl and James S. Triolo, and Director of Public Information A. T. Mitchell.

Dean A. McGee is president of Kerr-McGee Oil Industries, Inc., Oklahoma City. He holds the B.S. degree in mining engineering from Kansas University and the LL.D. from Oklahoma City University. His career has included positions as geology instructor; petroleum geologist and business executive. He serves as dir ector or trustee of many educational, philanthropic, civic, service, and professional organizations, and is a member of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. He has contributed articles to professional journals and is a member of Sigma Xi and other associations.
John D. Murchison, Partner, Murchison Brothers, Dallas. After attending public and preparatory schools in Dallas and at Hotchkiss in Virginia, he went on to Yale University ~\_earn a degree in economics
fl political science. He holds an honorary doctorate from a Tennessee college. Active in international financial circles, he is a dir ector in several companies,and is a member of the Dallas Citizens Council. He is also a director of the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts. As a member of the U.S. Air Force in the Mediterranean Theater he was awarded the DistinguiShed Flying Cross during World War II.
Howard T. Tellepsen is President of the Tellepsen Construction Co., Houston. He holds the B.S. in civil engineering from Georgia Tech. He is Chairman of the Board of the Gulf Coast Land and Development Company and a member of the boards of several large companies, as well as a member of the Texas Board of State Hospitals and Special Schools. He is also active in civic affairs and is a member of the National Society of Professional En

Because of the large attendance expected for the Founders Building dedication ceremonies a minor change I in the staff parking plan has been made.
A special area (Area 1, above) has been prepared to accommodate Center staff.
In case of rain the staff is requested to form car pools where possible so that the 50 spaces reserved for staff parking will be adequate.

DALLAS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
Gala opening concert of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra will be in r·1cFa.rlin Auditorium Monday, October 26 , with Don ald Johanos condu cting Beethoven's "Fi d e lio" Overture; "Romeo and Juliet," Suite No.2 by Prokofiev, and Symphony No .1 in C minor by BrahmS.
Next concert is set for Monday , Novemb e r 2.
A "new look" for the Dallas Symphony for the 1964-65 season is centered in enlarged personnel. Ten addi t ional players have been added , bringing the tot al comp lement to 92, largest in the orchestra's h is tory.
On the podium for 12 of the 15 concerts will be Donald Johanos; sharing the podium with him will be Paul Klet zki, Andre Previn, and Ge orge Trautwein, assist ant conductor of the Symphony.
