Event Description

This two-day interactive course introduces the concepts of clinical research methodology to spine professionals.

The set-up of the course is intended for a small group of up to 30 participants to ensure interaction among participants.

In addition to short didactic sessions, the hallmark of the course is the hands-on workshops. By the end of the course, participants usually leave with a working outline for a research proposal.

Event ObjectivesAfter the event, participants will be able to:

• Understand the differences between the types of clinical research

• Plan the scientific and the project plan of an evidence based clinical study

• Choose the relevant outcome measures and the statistical approach

• Represent the results applying the appropriate written and oral presentation tools

Target ParticipantsThis event is targeted at clinicians (orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons and other specialists) regardless of the clinical experience, who are aiming to further improve their performance in the planning, conducting and publishing of clinical research studies.
