The Giza Codex: Time of the GodsBy Scott Creighton

Illiantia, the blue sun, appeared in the First Time on the eastern horizon as thesmallest flicker of light, exactly as the Guardians had foretold, during the power

of the God King Kemenketaph, which is now some twenty generations past. ndas Illiantia grew e!er larger o!er the passing ages, becoming e!en as the true"un, he suddenly discarded his benign mask, causing many animals and plants tofall before his unseen power, ne!er to rise again.

The Guardians knew that the time of the #udgement was near at hand, that

Illiantia would soon strike at the $arth%s heart and lay her waste. nd so theyinstructed the priests to count the years from the time when Illiantia had first

made his presence known in the eastern sky & ''' years they would count untilthe #udgement would once again be upon us. For, in truth, the wrath of the bluesun had been witnessed long ago in the (ays of the (awn, its deadly cyclewritten by the )reators of rcadiatzl into the Great *illars of +halir, the sacred

knowledge of which had been entrusted to the Guardians for all time.

o one, howe!er, could ha!e imagined the fury that befell the $arth in those

days. The ground had trembled many times before & but ne!er like this. The citywalls that had stood since before the time of the Flying "erpent, had fallen as

though built of sand. -inds, the likes of which had ne!er before been witnessed, blew away e!erything in their path, including the great *illars of +halir & gone

fore!er. nd then the burning rocks began to rain from the hea!ens & theirnumbers greater e!en than the stars of creation. nd the noise & a terriblethunder that tore the rocks assunder, multiplying their number a thousand times. There was no escaping this frightful fire and fury. The people tried but there wasno place safe to shelter.

nd still, as much as this terrible affliction had brought the people to their knees,

beseeching the Gods of the )reation to spare them, the worst was yet to come.Illiantia would show no mercy to the sons of man. -ithout warning, the !ery

stars of the stately hea!ens began to depart from their posts, slowly at first butthen faster. They mo!ed out of their places, turning and twisting, seeking newdestinies and some falling fore!er into the depths of the ocean. nd all at once, they steadied themsel!es and mo!ed no more. For a brief moment, e!erythingwas uiet and still. /ut 0ust as the sur!i!ing few belie!ed his fury was spent, thewaters came & the raging waters that had tumbled the whole $arth, crashed o!erthe mountains and washed the last remnant of rcadiatzl beneath the wa!esfore!er.

Three months of fire and fury and the entire $arth was laid waste. )ountlessmore species of animals and plants had yielded to the mighty wrath and were no

more. The few people that clung to life had little to li!e for. They had notprepared themsel!es for such anger from Illiantia and would suffer greatly fortheir penance.

In time the sur!i!ors would slowly begin to rebuild their world. 1owe!er, thatmankind had come so close to being remo!ed from the face of the $arth was ofgreat concern to the few Guardians that had sur!i!ed the great inundation, sa!ed

from the #udgement in a great rk they knew to build before the waters came.nd so, they made haste to lay down their knowledge of Illiantia%s wrath that

future generations might benefit from it and prepare themsel!es for his certainreturn.

/ut with the *illars of +halir ha!ing long been turned to dust, a new Codex ofthe Sacred Knowledgewas prepared by the Guardians. In time & manygenerations after the )odex had been laid down & the sons of the Guardianswould ensure the construction of this great codex, building new pillars that wouldhold within their !ery dimensions, the sacred knowledge of their forefathers. Thatthe sons of sons should read the pillars and understand, then ne!er again would

mankind come so near to his end.

    An Ancient Codex

Such might have been the scenario some 12,500 years ago when our ancient

ancestors witnessed the first flickers of the hazy, bluish light of an explosion atthe core of our galaxy !s the cosmic superwave reached the "arth, the initialeffects of such an event would have our planet bombarded with all manner ofradioactive particles, killing plants and animals by the millions #undreds of yearslater this devastation would be followed by a second wave of slower$movingcosmic debris, smashing into our planet, causing all manner of conflagrations and

innundations %ut it seems that our ancient ancestors were also aware ofsomething much more worrying $ the cyclical natureof such galactic core

explosions and so they laid down this &sacred knowledge& in a &codex& $ a plan $that later generations of their devastated civilisation would build 'e see this

&codex& today as the (yramids of )iza, built during the *th +ynasty of the !ncient"gyptian civilisation hat such ancient plans were handed down from !rcadia ishinted at-

2The design of the structures that Imhotep raised for (0oser at "aara seems tohark back to a remote past, deliberately recalling the occasion of the %First Time%,when creation arose in the prime!al marsh, to which (0oser would return on

    death.2 3eymonds, %4ythical 5rigins of the $gyptian Temple%, *6'2They 7the temples8 were built according to an architectural plan which was

supposed to ha!e been re!ealed in a codex that fell from the hea!ens at "aarain the days of Imhotep.2 ldred %The $gyptians%, *9:

.f there did indeed exist an ancient )odexin the manner proposed by ourscenario $ and hinted at by the !ncient "gyptians themselves $ and the (yramidsat )iza were the end result of such a /odex, ie the new *illars of +halir, howmight the &)uardians& have encoded their &sacred knowledge& into thesestructures #ow are we to &read& the )iza (yramids to recover its secrets 'hatfollows is an interpretation of the (yramids of )iza as a repository of 3ust such

ancient knowledge his is not to detract from the possibility that the structuresmay also have been designed with a more practical purpose in mind, such as a

&seed vault& that would ensure the survival of crop diversity in the event of a

natural disaster and to offer the survivors of such a calamity the chance to restartthe growth of food crops that may otherwise have become extinct

.n planning their codex it seems logical to assume that the key information the+esigners would wish to communicate to future generations would most likelyconsist of the following-

he start date of the previous cycle ie when Illiantiafirst appeared in

    the eastern sky

he dates of the cataclysms ie when the cosmic superwaves struck

he end date of the last cycle, when the "arth returned to relative peace

he number of years between the end of once cycle and the beginning ofthe next

    Intelligent Design

So, let us assume the ancient +esigners met to decide how best to &transmit& suchknowledge far into the future Someone suggests simply writing everything intoclay tablets his idea is 4uickly dismissed since the +esigners realise that with sofew people having survived the cataclysm, in all liklihood, mankind will lose muchof what he had already learned, 4uickly reverting to a very primitive stateinding food and shelter would be the priorities in the foreseeable future than

reading and writing .t is expected also that the ability to read and write would belost very 4uickly, as indeed would the language used in any such tablets and $ in

time $ new languages would replace the old

.n any case, even if the language could somehow be preserved, such tabletscould easily be destroyed or lost he +esigners reasoned that whatever &design&they conceived, it would have to be big $ very, very big )reater even than thelost (illars of 6halir $ such was the significance of the sacred knowledge and theimportance of its durability and passage through time he planned design had to

be such that, when eventually built, it would last for all time in the hope thatmankind would relearn his lost knowledge and be able to decode the sacred

knowledge contained within the /odex %efore it was too late

7f course, with so few people and resources, it was 4uite impractical for the)uardians to consider constructing the new (illars themselves his would have tobe the task of future generations, using the &sacred /odex& the )uardians woulddesign and be4ueath to them

!nother of the )uardians suggested that the /odex should utilise the &language of

mathematics& since $ unlike narrative text or hieroglyphs $ the language ofmathematics remains inviolate, no matter how long the span of time .t cannot be

    misinterpreted

his was agreed as was the importance of building into the design a &beacon& or&key& to its understanding Such a beacon would signal to future civilisations themathematical &context& in which the completed design was to be considered

he simplest beacon $ to symbolise the mathematical nature of the /odex $would, naturally, be a number %ut not 3ust any random number .t would re4uire

a number that demonstrated &intelligent design& $ an abstractnumber that couldbe easily recognised by a mathematically astute future civilisation he +esigners

knew of 3ust such an abstract, &intelligent number&, formed from the ratio of acircle&s circumference to its diameter he division of this ratio would always give

the first 8 digits of the resulting answer as 8 $ 1 $ * and these digits would beplainly encoded into the /odex in the hope that future civilisations would see thebeacon and recognise its significance

7f course, the added benefit of arranging the design in such a way as toincorporate the 8 $ 1 $ * mathematical beacon, is that such a number implies acircleand a circle is precisely what would be re4uired to indicate the dates to be

encoded into the /odex %y simply implying a circlemuch effort and resource issaved since this would only re4uire a few strategically placed structures to be

built as opposed to actually constructing a masive physical stone circle he 8$1$*beacon effectively would serve two purposes $ it would act as a mathematical

beacon of &intelligent design& giving future generations the overall &context& in

which to consider the design, and it would also save much time and effort havingto construct a massive, physical circle

    The Giza Precession Wheel (GPW

hat such a circle is implied around the structures at )iza can be seen in moredetail here-

his &implied& or &imaginery& circle the +esigners provided would form their

&(recession 'heel& hey had determined long ago $ through knowledge gainedover countless generations $ that the stars in the night sky were not as fixed as

they might at first appear .f, for example, you look at a star on the horizon andnoted its celestial co$ordinates and you then checked that same star&s position onthe same date :2 years later, you will have found that it will have moved from itsoriginal position by around 1 degree .ndeed, for that star to return to thecelestial position you had recorded would take around 2;,000 years

he +esigners would use this &precessional motion& of the stars as the timing

mechanismfor their grand &(recession 'heel& "ach degree around the imaginerywheel would constitute :2 years %y simply marking various points around the

wheel it would be possible for them to record their important dates $ past andfuture

7f course, there is little point in marking specific points ie dates around thewheel without having a start point his would be like trying to tell somone thetime from an analogue clock which had no numbers on the face nor any indicationas to whether the clock was properly orientated

was being depicted he problem is much the same if two large structures arebuilt depicting two stars since a straight line can connect any two points 'iththree stars, however, the situation becomes a little better, especially if the threechosen stars form a relatively tight group .t would be important also that thisgroup of stars should remain largely unaffected by the effects of the &(roper?otion& of the stars, a phenomenon that distorts the spatial distances between

stars over long periods of time, thus defeating the purpose of fixing their patternon the ground that they would be correctly identified by a future civilisation o

this end the +esigners decided the most practical group of three stars that wouldmeet their needs were the tight group of 8 stars that form 7rion&s %elt

here was a further problem, however, which 4uickly came to light "ven with 8stars forming a fairly distinctive pattern within a tight group, the +esignersrealised that there existed numerous permutations of three stars in the night skythat could potentially match their design, thus erroneously regarded by a futurecivilisation as the correct triad o avoid such confusion would re4uire a decisiveclue, a full$proof mechanism that would ensure future generations could not failto select the correct 8$star group

he most straightforward solution to this problem would be to somehow indicate

within the design theprcessional motionof the chosen 8$star group overthousands of years !nd, better still, this particular aspect of the design mightalso be utilised to encode the duration that would pass before the returnof Illiantia$ its cycleA .t would seem that this detail the precessional motion ofthe 7rion %elt stars is provided through the relative placement of the 2 sets of

uthermore, it is 4uite possible that these structures might also be conveying tous the duration in years between .lliantia&s cycles, thus-

    The #Chosen Star# Cali$rates the Wheel

    Figure $ - Khafre+Men,aure lign#ent fro# .orth / 2120

#aving now selected an appropiate groupof three stars, it would then be a simplematter of ensuring that the physical ground structures depicted the chosen starofthe group of three ie the star with which to apply the encoded celestial co$

ordinates in such a way that this structure stood out from the others his couldeasily be done by simply misaligning the &chosen pyramid& from the others or by

making it larger or smaller than the others .t would then be apparent to a futurecivilisation $ having discovered the encoded data $ which pyramid the data is tobe applied to

!nd so, with a means of ensuring future civilisations could not fail to select thecorrect group of three stars and then the specific star from within the group ofthree ie ?intaka, it was now a case of finding a simple means of encoding the

chosen star&s celestial azimuth into the design %y encoding the star&s azimuth atthe horizon, you are effectively registering a specific date his could be done

4uite easily by arranging the 7rion %elt stars in such a way that a line drawn fromthe centre of the design Bhafre&s apex through the apex of the chosen pyramid

?enkaure $ when measured clockwise from north $ would record the correctazimuth .n the case of ?enkaure we find this azimuth gives us 212C figure 8

!las, however, when we input this data for the star ?intaka into our star$mappingprogram we find we have a possible date range between 10,*00$11,000%/ $ notparticularly accurate for the purposes of a callibrating date for the (recession'heel 'e need more information, some other marker that will help us

    considerably narrow the date range

.t is 4uite logical to assume that with such crucial information the +esigners

would have ensured that it would be signposted to us in their design !nd it

seems that this may indeed be the case his signpostrepresents one of )iza&smost enduring puzzles $ the curious lines that run top to bottom of each face ofBhufu and ?enkaure which "gyptologists have long failed to explain hese linesessentialy bisect each face of these two pyramids, effectively making them F$sided structures hese &bisectors& are our clue to dating the (recession 'heelwith greater accuracy for what they lead us to is the construction of a very uni4ue

hidden triangle around the 8 )reat (yramids and it is within this hidden trianglethat the anceint +esigners have encoded the additional information re4uired to

accurately date the start of their (recession 'heel

.n my previous article on the )raham #ancock orum, . presented the /entroid

.f we are to accept that the three pyramids at )iza are indeed symbolic of stellarob3ects, namely the 7rion %elt stars, and that the centre or apex of thosepyramids are symbolic of the centre of those stars, then what are we to make of

the apex of the )reat )iza riangle figure *, that seems to indicate a point onthe southwest horizon .f the apex of the pyramid represents the centre of the

    Figure 4 - rion 'Points' to the '5idden Star' at 220 3

.ntriguingly, the bisectors we find built into the faces of Bhufu and ?enkaure leadus to construct a triangular design that inevitably creates an apex $ ie a *th star(i 87ri, 7rion&s &%ow& or &Shield& $ at 22*C and it does so without the need to

physically construct a *th pyramidA hrough the pyramid bisectors and the )),the design itself impliesa *th star

    The 'irst Wae Stri)es

Heturning now to our star$mapping program, by ensuring that the star &(i 87ri& isprecisely placed on the southwest horizon at 22*C with ?intaka fixed at 212C, wecan now secure a more accurate date for the )iza (recession 'heel start point $10,550%/ I 100 yrs .t would seem then that on this date some 12,500 years

ago, the first flicker of a strange, blue star appeared in the eastern sky and soonafter the first wave of destruction in the form of deadly radioactive particles

afflicted the planet #owever, it would take another ;;; years for the full, cataclysmic effects of the second cosmic =superwave= to reach the "arth #ow do

we know of this duration .t is encoded into the 'heelA

'ith the calibrating date for the )iza (recession 'heel now known, determiningthe other dates encoded within the 'heel is now relatively straightforward oensure the design and therefore its construction effort was as economical aspossible, the +esigners would utilise the existing structures to impart thisadditional information hrough strategic placement of these structures theycould encode these dates but still maintain the symbolic correlations with the

7rion %elt stars 'e find the dates are encoded thus-

'hat seems remarkable is that when one compares the scientific record back tothese dates we find that they correspond with peaks of cosmic activity that iswidely believed by scientists to have caused the exctinction of many animal andplant species around the world circa 10,500%/ and then later around E,F00%/

    The +ext Time

!nd so to the final 4uestion $ when is this cycle next due Since we now knowthe end dateof the previous cycle F,0;;%/ and the duration between the cycles

releasing its deadly cosmic superwave towards our planet

    Figure ; - 8ating the .ext Ccle

.t seems then that the first flicker of the next /lue "unie a galactic coreexplosion will be seen in our skies around the year 8,180!+ bringing with it a

volley of deadly radiation and ;;; years later 8,:E;!+ the second cosmicsuperwave $ and all the debris that comes with it $ will sweep over us .t seemsthat the year 8,:E;!+ is our next date with destiny 'hat this will mean for our

planet at that time is anyone&s guess but it is unlikely to be anything good 7nething that is 4uite certain, however, is that long after the cosmic superwave has

finally passed, it is 4uite likely that the )reat (yramids at )iza will still bestanding, ready to pass on their warning to future generations of this deadly, cosmic cycle

7n a final note $ the 1;th century prophet, Kostradamus, allegedly correctlypredicted many future events including, some say, the date of the end of theworld he truth of the matter is actually that Kostradamus&s predictions simply

end in the year 8,:E:!+ $ there are no more predictions from him beyond thatyear .s it perhaps possible that we may now have found the reason why
