Who are we?

The Friendly Society Pharmacy is Bundaberg’s only not-for-profit community-owned pharmacy. For almost 100 years, we’ve helped generations of locals on the road to good health. We strive to provide the full pharmacy shopping experience by delivering a wide range of health care products at competitive prices, and most importantly service and health advice that goes above and beyond. As a not-for-profit community-owned organisation, our priority is the needs of our valued members. We famously live up to our name, providing a friendly and caring service to the people of Bundaberg.

The Friendly Society Private Hospital is a state of the art, surgical and acute care medical facility, committed to building better health outcomes through the provision of talented healthcare professionals and advanced technology.

The Friendlies Physiotherapy Service can help you regain your physical freedom through the diagnosis and treatment of pain and injury; and in the recovery and rehabilitation process following major surgery.

The Friendlies Afterhours Medical Service is located at the Friendly Society Private Hospital and is available to you should pain or illness strike when your regular GP clinic is closed on weekends and public holidays.

The Friendlies Allied Health Team is made up of experienced Occupational Therapists and Dietitians. Our Allied Health Services work with both inpatients and outpatients. Many conditions require nutritional advice and education around food and its relationship with health and Occupational Therapy enables people to move about and participate in their everyday life.

We have a Pharmacist on the floor at all times, making our friendly Pharmacists more accessible than ever before. Do you require multiple medications? Be sure to ask about our medication packing service while you enjoy our efficient and fast service for all PBS and private prescriptions. If you have been diagnosed with diabetes we are your local national Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) Access Point.

Natural Health and Vitamins We carry the best vitamin and mineral supplements, many of which are only available from pharmacies. Our qualified team can recommend products for every member of your family.

Cosmetics and Fragrances If you’re looking for Estée Lauder, Clinique, Shiseido and Chanel, we’re your local stockist in the Bundaberg region. Home Health

Healthy at HomeFrom hospital to home and everywhere in between we can help keep you moving safely and independently. The Friendlies are a team committed to maintaining the health, wellness and happiness of our seniors at home. We are your home health experts, helping you live safely and independently at home by offering an extensive range of home health and mobility aids. Expert and tailored advise is provided for individual circumstances. Visit our display suite opposite the main reception desk at the Friendly Society Private Hospital and enjoy a consultation with one of our Home Health experts.

Our Home Health Range Includes:• Vaporisers and nebulisers

• Mobility aids such as walkers, forearm rollators, frames, crutches and wheelchairs

• Tens machines, blood pressure and blood glucose monitors

• Shower chairs, high and low back chairs and lift chairs

• Over toilet aids, self help poles and over bed tables

• Incontinence products

We can also assist eligible DVA veterans with their mobility and CPAP needs through the Department of Veterans' Affairs Rehabilitation Appliance Program. Our DVA Manager can assist with any queries.

CPAP Do you suffer from a sleep disorder such as sleep apnoea? If so, it is likely that your treatment will include the use of a prescribed CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machine. Our specially-trained CPAP consultants can guide you through the products and accessories available to you for hire or purchase from the Friendly Society Pharmacy, and can provide you with support when it comes to the fitting and use of your equipment.
