The four candles…

The four candles were melting little by little…

The room was so quiet that someone could hear them discussing…

The first was saying:

“I AM PEACE”

“However , people do not manage to keep me. I believe that there is no more for me

than to keep burning out!”

…and so it was left to burn out completely…

The second said:

“I AM FAITH”

“Unfortunately I am needed nowhere. People do not want to know about me so there is no point in trying to be lit…”

…and when concluded talking a slight breeze blew towards it and burnt it out…

Being very sad the third candle said when its turn came:

“I AM LOVE”

“I do not have the power to continue being lit. People do not pay attention to me and they do not perceive how important I am.

They have stopped loving anymore…”

…and without waiting more the candle was left to burn out…

Suddenly…

A little boy entered the room and saw the three candles burnt out. Scared from the twilight, said:

“What are you doing! You must stay lit, I fear of the dark!

…and burst into tears…

Then the fourth candle said with compassion:

“Do not be afraid my dear child! As long as I am lit we could always lit the other three candles…”

“I AM HOPE”

…with bright eyes and full of tears the little child took the candle of hope and lit again all others…

… LET’S THE HOPE WITHIN OUR HEARTS WILL NEVER BURN OUT …
