ADVANCED PLACEMENT EXAMSAP students were recently asked to complete a survey to make their exam format selection for the upcoming APExams. All exams are offered in a paper and pencil on campus or digitally at home or in school. We asked for aMarch 18th deadline so that we can coordinate our AICE, AP and state mandated assessments in sociallydistanced spaces for large numbers of students. The exam format selection does not guarantee a student theexam administration window. AP Spanish Language and Culture, AP French Language and Culture, and AP MusicTheory are NOT offered digitally by College Board. AP DIGITAL EXAM INFORMATIONDigital exams taken on desktop or laptop computers will be the sole exam format for many subjects on theAdministration 2 and 3 test dates. Because the full-length digital AP Exams require typewritten free responses, theexams can’t be taken on smartphones. Students will need to install the digital exam application on the computerthey will use throughout AP testing this year; this will not be the same digital testing platform that was used foremergency testing in Spring 2020. Students do not need to install the LockDown Browser they may use for secureAP Classroom assignments. Digital exams will be full length and test the same knowledge and skills as paper andpencil exams, in a format-appropriate manner. Students are required to complete all setup and readiness stepsbefore exam day and understand and follow exam security policies and procedures. Students should be preparedto take the digital version of the exam (if applicable), in the event they need to take a makeup digital exam. The monthly calendar for AP and AICE exams is posted on the school website under testing. FSA EXAMSThe FSA Writing exam begins on April 5th and concludes on April 15th with make-up exams continuing throughthe week of April 19th. Schedules have been distributed by email to parents and by teachers to students. Our FSAWriting has been scheduled by teacher/period and is also posted on the FLHS school website under testing. Perthe Florida Department of Education (FDOE), no remote administrations are available for any statewidesummative assessments. Unlike some states, Florida has no "opt-out" policy for state assessments used as therequired measures of student achievement for the Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015. For each exam we askthat parents confirm their receipt of the student’s exam and let us know if their student will be present or not bycompleting a form that will be posted under the FLHS website under testing. *Schedules for statewide assessments are posted on the school website under testing or click here to access.
