Ronald S. Cava, Senior Minister
Cavasations It seems like everywhere we turn we
see or hear of businesses being starved for good employees. Congregations sometimes suffer a similar malady. We are most fortunate to not have that problem at First Baptist Church.
Trivia question: How many years of combined service have been offered to First Baptist Church by our staff? Answer: Seventy-six years!
That is fantastic my friends! It speaks well to the commitment of our employees and to the care offered by this congregation.
Ms. Linda O’Brien, our Financial Secretary, just completed her fifteenth year with FBC. She began as our receptionist and transitioned to her current role nearly a decade ago. Linda is a thoughtful, dedicated, hard-working, professional, and trustworthy employee. She brings much joy to the rest of us and to the
members and guests with whom she interacts. Linda is a member of Raleigh Road Baptist Church
where she and her family have attended since it began as a church plant of First Baptist. She has played the piano and led the music there for many years.
I have often said, good people make for good congregations and good congregations make good people better. Linda is, as is often said, “good people.” We celebrate her life and contributions to God through worship and work, giving thanks for her continued contributions to our church.
