Verkenner s ( Art and area-de velopmen t) is a c ollabora tionbetween artists and area developers. Together they are lookingfor a way to use art in new development areas. Can the useof art and culture in area development projects contribute toimprove the quality of area development? What opportunitiesare there for artists? And can we create involvement among thefuture residents of the area?
Autobahn created a 'small but friendly publication', with answersto these questions and a presentation of projects. The imageconcept for this book is inspired by the series' Landscapes' byphotographer Levi of Veluw. In consultation with Levi, Autobahnhas used this image to create a typographic image. Thephotography is provided by Marieke Wijntjes.

It started as an exercise in the university. Itook a short tale by Jorge Luis Borges called Emma Zunz and try to make the story workwithin 12 different pieces.It took me about1 month to put it all together. This was a commissioned work for ComputerArts Uk (and Brazil also).
This began life as a university project to interpret a passage fcollection A Thousand And One Nights. The idea was to iplaying with different kinds of text boxes and highlights.

The brief was to photograph the subject of a place and a community for Creative Review magazine.I decided to study and photograph a place called Container City situated in the London's east docklands, a place where they re-used and re-painted old ship containers for living spaces and workofces making them habitable.

I was asked us to look at the subject of hopes and habits. The task was toproduce a piece of information graphics in diagrammatic format displayingthese habits and hopes by using a handcrafted approach. In this case i chosesmoking for the habit and i used clocks to show how it relates to time andhow this can effect our hopes in the future.
