Carmen is a member of National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Key Club, YoungLife, and Mayor’s Youth Commission. Outside of school, Carmen plays club soccer and is active in the First United Methodist Church of Arlington, participating in the leadership team and youth choir. Upon graduation, Carmen hopes to attend the University of Texas, UCLA, or the University of Arkansas to study business. Amanda is a varsity cheerleader, involved in National Honor Society, A Cappella Choir, and Madrigal Show Choir. Outside of school, she coaches a group of Optimist cheerleaders and is an active member of First United Methodist Church of Arlington where she serves on the Youth Leadership Council. Upon graduation, Amanda hopes to attend either the University of Arkansas or Texas Tech University to study education. Catherine is an honor student, a school ambassador, plays varsity golf, is a member of the Living in Faith Experience Team, Pro-Life Team, and spirit club. Outside of school, she volunteers for Green Oaks School and is an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Community. After graduation, she hopes to attend the University of Oklahoma or Texas Tech University or dedicate a gap year to service work. Blair is a member of National Honor Society, the volleyball team, and part of the worship committee. Outside of school, she is a member of Gospel City Church, performs with Young Stars and Guitars, and enjoys traveling with her family. Upon graduation, Blair plans to attend Texas A&M University or Belmont University and major in education or music therapy. Channy is on the honor roll for academic achievement, vice president of the junior class, yearbook layout editor, captain of the varsity field hockey team, and a member of National Honor Society. Outside of school, she plays field hockey with her club team, authors a blog, For the Love of Books, and is an advocate for early readers. Upon graduating, Channy hopes to attend Vassar, Bryn Mawr, or Smith College to study English literature. Abigail is a junior Student Council representative, varsity volleyball player, member of National Honor Society, baseball team manager, and is in the top 5% of her class. Outside of school, she is an active member of Fielder Road Baptist Church, Ignite Bible study, and YoungLife. After graduating, Abigail plans to attend either the University of Oklahoma or Texas Christian University to study nursing and Spanish. Lauren Julius Lauren, 16, is the daughter of Kim and Mike Julius and a junior at Lamar High School. Tatum is a part of National Honor Society, student government, junior varsity volleyball, varsity soccer, and varsity track and field. Outside of school, she leads a high school Bible study called Ignite PCA and is an active member of Gospel City Church where she attends regularly and participates in the youth group. After graduating in 2018, Tatum hopes to attend Vanderbilt University or Texas Christian University. Taryn is the junior class president, Student Council treasurer, in the top 1% of her class, varsity volleyball player, boys’ soccer manager, a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, YoungLife, and Ignite Bible Study. Outside of school, Taryn is an active member of the Mayor’s Youth Commission, Youth Leadership Arlington, and First Baptist Church of Arlington. Upon graduating, Taryn plans on playing volleyball and studying medicine. Taryn Cates Taryn, 16, is the daughter of Donna Cates and Marc Cates and a junior at Arlington High School. After graduating, Hannah plans to do a Discipleship Training School with Youth With A Mission – University of the Nations before attending college. Hannah Porter Hannah, 17, is the daughter of Jamey and Craig Porter and a junior at Pantego Christian Academy. Catherine Westerlage Catherine, 17, is the daughter of Carolyn Mentesana Westerlage and Gary Westerlage and a junior at Nolan Catholic High School. Madi is on the Headmaster’s List for academic achievement, varsity cheerleader, varsity soccer player, member of Honors A Capella Choir, member of Key Club, and the social chair for World Language Club. Outside of school, she attends Fielder Church, began playing the harp at the age of two, and is an active member of Youth Leadership Arlington Class of 2017. Upon graduation, Madi plans to attend the University of Oklahoma to pursue a degree in nursing. Madilyn Snyder Madilyn, 17, is the daughter of Lyn and Mike Snyder and a junior at The Oakridge School. Peyton is in Student Council, Key Club, National Honor Society, and Psychology Club where she serves as treasurer. Outside of school, she is the Senior Event Game Coordinator for Mayor’s Youth Commission, active in Girl Scouts, a junior member of the Arlington Parks and Recreation Board, and she serves as State Duchess for Children of the American Revolution. Upon graduation, Peyton hopes to attend Texas A&M, University of Texas, or the University of Southern California to study business or communications. Peyton Jones Peyton, 17, is the daughter of Lesa and Lance Jones. She is a junior, who attended Martin High School, and currently attends Northstar School. Blair Herrod Blair, 17, is the daughter of Gina and Kelly Herrod and a junior at Pantego Christian Academy. Kennedy is the president and founder of the Vikes for Change Club and an officer of the Youth Arlington Club. She is a member of the Lamar High School A Cappella Varsity Choir and the Harmony Varsity Show Choir. After graduating, Kennedy hopes to attend Texas A&M University or the University of Arkansas and then plans to establish a non-profit charity organization of her own. Kennedy Levy Kennedy, 17, is the daughter of Amy and Jeffrey Levy and a junior at Lamar High School. Channy Cornell Channy, 17, is the daughter of Buffy and Blair Cornell and a junior at The Oakridge School. Madison is a varsity cheerleader, Student Council class representative, member of National Honor Society, and is in the Ready, Set, Teach program. Outside of school, she is a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and Karrousel Social Club. Upon graduation, Madison hopes to attend Texas Tech University, Texas A&M University, or Stephen F. Austin University to pursue a career in education. Madison Cinquepalmi Madison, 17, is the daughter of Kelly and Nick Cinquepalmi and younger sister of Karsen. She is a junior at Martin High School. Sarah is the sophomore class co-president, junior varsity cheerleader, choir council member, Harmony Show Choir member, junior varsity baseball manager, and a member of the UIL Cheer competition squad for the past two years. Hannah is a junior varsity cheerleader, member of the UIL competition squad, junior varsity choir, and Encore Show Choir. She is involved in HOSA, Vikes for Change, Ignite, and Key Club. Outside of school, Hannah volunteers at Mission Arlington, Optimist Cheer Club, Boys & Girls Clubs of Arlington, and Special Olympics. Upon graduation, Hannah hopes to attend the University of Texas studying pre-med. Hannah Harris Hannah, 16, is the daughter of Debi and Pat Harris and a sophomore at Lamar High School. Lauren is a junior class representative on Student Council and is involved in National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Key Club, Psychology Club, Martin PTSA, and the Warrior Post Newspaper. The candidate who raises the most money during a seven week campaign is crowned Miss Cinderella. This year’s candidates are shown below.
