course in Lighting. Prior to WAAPA, Kelly completed her diploma in Construction and Manufacturing at the South Bank
Institute of Technology in Brisbane, 2008. Kelly has worked with Opera QLD, Hairspray and Wicked through her studies
as well as holding a casual job at the Perth Concert Hall. Through her time at WAAPA Kelly has worked on numerous
shows, the highlight being the lighting designer on A Chorus Line, Directed by Jason Langley. Since graduating she has
worked on numerous shows at the entertainment centre including How to Train Your Dragon. She has worked on shows
with Harvest Rain, Villanova players and the Brisbane Arts theatre. Kelly has taught lighting and sound to student interest-
ed in technical theatre at Loreto College, and Iona Girls school, Perth.
PHIL DAVIES CAPTAIN TOCK
Phil studied Theatre Studies and Psychology at the University of Lancaster in England where his colleagues in the theatre
department included Andy Serkis (Lord of the Rings). Acting credits included roles in The Crucible, The Resistable Rise of
Arturo Ui, The Portage to San Cristobal of AH and Look Back in Anger as well as Howard Barker’s Victory for Pomegranite
theatre company at the Dukes Playhouse Lancaster. Phil had two shots at the Edinburgh fringe festival with Red Rose
Theatre Company including the lead role in Mike Elliston’s Major Minor. Lighting credits (design and operation) includ-
ed Henry V. Phil then took a 26 year break from acting apart from a small (but speaking) part in the 1998 film Guru in
Seven starring Saeed Jaffrey, before resuming his career as Harry in THAT production company's Saved. During this rather
long sabbatical from treading the boards Phil eked out a career as in the administration of the National Theatre and the
Young Vic and then as Operations Director at Watermans Arts Centre, The Deptford Albany and Interchange Studios (all
London) during which time he was lucky enough to work with and observe the likes of Judy Dench, Anthony Hopkins, Ian
McKellen, Timothy Dalton, Maggie Smith and many more of that ilk. Phil has lived in queensland for nearly eight years
with his wife and 11 yr old daughter and is currently employed by the Queensland Museum.
AJ MARSH COUGAR GLASS
A linguist with a passion for the craft of acting, AJ has been involved with theatre for most of his life, starting with children's theatre in New Zealand in the late 1980s. As with many young actors in Wellington, AJ had the advantage of attending classes at Wellington Repertory Theatre and Te Toi Whakaari, and chipped his teeth in productions during the annual summer Fringe Festival, as well as involvement in the many theatre and film productions constantly afoot in that city. Most recently in Brisbane, he performed in 2011's Short and Sweet festival, and played "Sheriff Earl" in the Elvis-themed musical All Shook Up, his first musical role since Oliver in 1998. Previous to that in Brisbane, he played "Hal" in Starlight Theatre's production of Proof. This is AJ's second time working with THAT Theatre Company, having portrayed "The Bridegroom" and "Juan" in their 2010 Rural Trilogy, comprising three of the works of Spanish playwright Federico Garcia Lorca.
SHEILA OLIVER CHEETAH BEE
Winning the drama prize at her secondary school many moons ago in England, set Sheila on her path to becoming a drama teacher. She lived 24 years in Melbourne where her credits include: A FATE WORSE THAN DEATH, THE VIGIL, BITTER SANCTUARY [Pickle Players] WHEN WE ARE MARRIED, THE GOOD DOCTOR, OUTSIDE EDGE [Mordialloc Theatre Company] ENTER A FREE MAN [Pumpkin Players] DUSA, FISH, STAS AND VI, AWAY [Clayton Theatre Group] A DOLLS HOUSE [Heidelberg Theatre Company] THE SECRET STORY OF CINDERELLA AND HER FABULOUSLY FASHIONABLE FOOTWEAR [Harvest Rain] was Sheila’s first production in beautiful Brisbane. She played the Queen, Prince Charming’s rather dotty mother! In 2010 Sheila graced the stage at Nash Theatre in AN IDEAL HUSBAND. That was followed in 2011 by THE 39 STEPS and AS YOU LIKE IT. Much fun and laughter followed in early 2012 playing the Wicked Witch of the West with Nash Theatre once again in their radio play production of THE WIZARD OF OZ.
