• Roy Hodgson’s side will play important European Qualifiers on the road to France 2016 as well as Internationals against Italy, the Republic of Ireland and France.

• Mark Sampson’s side will be taking part in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada in June having won all ten games during qualifying.

• In June Gareth Southgate’s Under-21 squad will travel to the Czech Republic to take part in the UEFA European Under-21 Championship finals.

• Building on the work of The FA Chairman’s England Commission, the FA are planning to transform grassroots facilities through the creation of 150 multi-sport hubs across 30 cities, backed by a pledge of £50 million of support from Government. This is in addition to the projects already supported across the country by the Football Foundation through The Premier League and FA Facilities Fund.

delIverInG our Goals As a not-for-profit organisation The FA invests more than £43 million each year into grassroots football. This investment comes from the income generated by The FA’s broadcast and sponsorship partnerships and has helped to deliver:

• Over six million coaching sessions for children aged 5-11 since The FA Skills programme launched in 2007.

• An overhaul of youth football in England so it is more fun and children develop better skills. The FA’s Youth Development Review has seen changes phased in including smaller sided games on smaller pitches with smaller goals so the emphasis can be on technique and skill.

• A detailed Inclusion and Anti-discrimination plan which was launched in 2012 and is supported by The FA’s Inclusion Advisory Board. The FA is committed to providing an inclusive football experience for anyone who wishes to play, coach, officiate or support football in England. In March 2014 we launched a series of ‘Reporting Discrimination’ films aimed at both players and supporters designed to help eradicate discrimination from football.

• A huge growth in women’s and girls’ football; more than 250,000 women regularly play football in England and The FA expects the sport to be the second most played team sport (after men’s football) by 2018. The FA’s ‘Game Changer’ strategy for women’s football was launched in 2012 setting out a five year plan for the future of women’s football in England.

• The FA’s commitment to Disability Football was cemented in January 2014 with a commitment to invest £1.5 million in the sport over three years. There are currently 35 County Disability Football Leagues and more than 1,500 disability football teams in England. In June 2015 St George’s Park will host the Cerebral Palsy seven-a-side World Cup.

Wembley Stadium’s mantra is ‘Inspiring Memories’ and throughout 2014 the stadium has provided iconic sporting and music moments. During the last year Wembley has developed and enhanced its technological stature with a ground-breaking deal with mobile technology giants EE.Now into its seventh year following the rebuild, the Stadium continues to set the benchmark for global events. This was highlighted with the incredible 17-hour turnaround from England’s final home World Cup warm-up match against Peru to the IBF Super Middleweight bout between reigning champion Carl Froch and title-contender George Groves.Elsewhere, Arsenal were back in a Wembley final defeating Hull City in The FA Cup, before defeating Manchester City in the season’s curtain raiser, The FA Community Shield. One Direction thrilled over 250,000 people during three nights in June, with Eminem providing the entertainment in July. The NFL International Series returned with three fixtures and England kicked off their Euro 2016 campaign with an undefeated autumn schedule. Not to be outdone, 2015 is shaping up nicely with the Capital One Cup Final kicking off the calendar on March 1. The FA Cup and Football League Play-Offs will once again excite and Rugby Union will take centre stage with the stadium being proud hosts of two Rugby World Cup games – New Zealand vs. Argentina and Ireland vs. Romania – as well as welcoming Saracens back in March.Three NFL games will take place in the Autumn and England will look to make a big step towards qualification in France, with Lithuania its first game. An exciting music calendar will see Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters and AC-DC taking to the stage, all of which once more highlights Wembley’s position as one of the world’s premier sport and music venues.

These revenues are often generated by supporters and cover:• Profits made from the sale of tickets to international matches and

The FA Cup Semi-Finals and Final.• Purchase of official FA licensed products, including best-sellers such as the England

shirt (available at www.EnglandStore.com) and England & FA Cup match day programmes (available at www.TheFA.com/programmes).

The FA’s Business Development team look to maximise revenues from all officially licensed products, here and internationally. The two major brands for which The FA grants licences are the England team and The FA Cup. Tight control is exercised on the quality of products, with The FA receiving royalties on all products which are sold under an official license. The FA also strenuously polices non licensed products, to prevent money going out of football – and to protect the integrity of the brands we manage. Fans can tell whether a product is official or not by The FA’s official hologram that genuine products carry. With this, fans can purchase in the confidence that they are also helping English football develop. If a customer is dissatisfied with the quality of an official product they have purchased, they should address this with the retailer in the first instance. However, The FA is always happy to receive feedback from customers to improve the quality and range of official products going forward.

REINvESTING SuPPORTER-GENERATEd REvENuEOverall, The FA’s two biggest sources of revenue are for the sale of its broadcast rights – here and internationally – and sponsorship rights. Maximising revenue from these sources is absolutely vital to running all aspects of The FA and helping fund football in this country.

merchandIse as a ‘not-for-ProfIt’ orGanIsatIon, the fa re-Invests all Its surPlus revenues back Into football at all levels, so the Game constantly GroWs and flourIshes.
