Transcript of The Eyes of a Child Tamecia Jones ED 229C LDT Seminar 28 Jan 04.
The goal of this experience was to watch a young child interact with a digital camera and try to take pictures.
45 pictures later…
• Subject looks through the screen instead of the viewfinder.
• Subject holds the camera completely away from her body for finding image and taking the picture.
• Initial desired image may not be image captured because of camera delay and subject movement before taking the picture. (Lots of blurring, half shots)
• Holds camera on a downwards angle.
• Flash provides important feedback.
• Buttons on HP812 are too close together and too small.
• Scrolling feature on camera is a hit.
• Power button and shutter button are often confused when taking a picture
• Height plays a large factor in the visual field.
• Motivation with technology holds attention enough for three rounds of photography.
