Functions

Digestive system takes down food into wastes making nutrients for the body.

Another function part of the excretory system is the bladder that removes wastes like urine so it will not turn into toxic and damage organs.

Major Parts/Organs

Kidney-The bean-shaped organ that filters, or removes, waste from blood

Ureter-Urine leaves each kidney through a tube

Bladder-Muscular sac that holds the urine until the urine is excreted

Uretha-Urine leaves a bladder through a tube

Interactions with systems

The bladder and urethra systems work together to make urine and other toxics leave the body

The excretory system also works with the nervous system to receive information from your five senses-vision, hearing, smell, tastes, and touch

Role in Maintaining Homeostasis

The excretory system filters wastes from the blood. Which is the removal of wastes from the digestive system. The hypothalamous is an area of the brain that helps maintain homeostasis. Water is retained in the blood instead of being excreted in the urine.

Health/Diseases Kidney disease: The nephrons are

damages and the ability of the kidneys fail to filter also your blood is reduce.Diabetes, high blood pressure and poison causes this

Bladder control: The bladder releases urine involuntarily occurs in women more often than men.Muscle weakness and prostate causes this.

Health/Diseases 2

Urinary tract infection: Infections usually occur in the bladder or urethra, but infections can also occur in the kidney and ureters. Symptoms can include burning during urination, small and frequent urination, and the blood and urine. Bacteria in the urinary system cause this.
