The Essence of Engineering Activities Saturn Engineering, Ltd. is a private company, providing full-range of services in the field of engineering design and product development, focused on the industrial, medical and consumer markets. The company was established in 1998 and is headquartered in Sofia, Bulgaria with a development and customer support center in New York, USA. Since its establishment, the company has become a successful extension to the engineering teams of many companies helping them to increase their profits and significantly reduce the time-to- market and the development cost. Advantage of the company is its ability to provide technologically advanced and cost effective solutions by utilizing its team of talented engineers in their ISO 9001 certified Design and Manufacturing facility in Sofia. Techno Park Sofia will be built on an area of 6000 m² in Druzhba 2 district, Sofia, Bulgaria, strategic location with easy access to Sofia International airport and major local highways. The complex will consist of four buildings offering office, production and warehouse spaces, parking lots as well as a lot of other modern conveniences. It will offer modern office and light industrial accommodations in variety of sizes. The first building of Techno Park Sofia is already built, situated on an area of 400 m² with 5 floors. The entire surface of the building is 2000 m². The total office and industrial space of the 4 buildings will be 15 000 m² and the project is expected to be completed by 2009. Located in Sofia, Bulgaria, the ISO 9001-2000 certified facility can handle full-scale assembly final production and fulfillment. The Saturn Engineering manufacturing facility is capable of fabricating complex printed circuit boards using surface mount or through-hole technology, producing all of the required electromechanical assemblies, cabling, and final assembly. Once complete, each product is thoroughly tested using our rigorous quality control program before it ever leaves the site.

SWOP (FP6 IST-NMP STREP Project) – Semantic Web-based Open engineering Platform (STREP) - www.swop-project.eu
SWOP offers a radically new and extensible approach for ICT support in fast and flexible production of customised but industrialised complex products and services. The SWOP a p p r o a c h i s a b r e a k t h r o u g h i n manufacturing, which will be validated by four business cases. It combines a generic, open, semant ic , s tandard-based, distributed engineering platform with intensive input of knowledge capital of engineering and expertise expressed in parametric object catalogues together with reference design patterns.
The platform bases on two tightly integrated state-of-the-art ICT technologies with high potential for business application and impact:• Semantic Web technologies and• Genetic Algorithms for smart manipulation of semantic data.

Induction Power Supplies – R&D Project co-funded by the Bulgarian National Innovation FundThe aim of the project was to develop versatile and reliable induction power supplies, with application in induction heating solutions. The project is finished and now Saturn Engineering Ltd. offers a variety of sophisticated induction power supplies.
