Rustibus® is the result of many years of development byDalseide Shipping Services. Introducing the Rustibus® range of de-scalers.The Rustibus® ’Walk behinds’ are designed to de-scale andpower brush decks on ships and rigs. The Rustibus® Pipe seri-es is designed for cleaning outer pipe surfaces 360 degrees inone easy operation. The Rustibus® Pipe machine is a highlycompetitive tool that can be used independently or combinedwith conventional methods available and neither pollutes theenvironment nor damages neighbouring pipelines.

Having used Rustibus® each variant leaves the surface cleanand smooth up to SA 2.0 – SPCC –SP11.These standards areobtained without time-consuming and costly methods of remo-ving old paint and rust.

Rustibus® are the most powerful mechanical de-scalers avai-lable and do not damage the steel surface beneath.

The Rustibus® de-scaling machines have been in operation foralmost 30 years and have proven themselves to be reliable andrequiring a minimum of maintenance.The key to the success ofRustibus® is the use of specially prepared chain links to achie-ve these results.

Rustibus® can be operated by one person with no special trai-ning. All Rustibus® models are delivered ready to use , with aoperation/safety manual and spare parts list of the highestdegree of detail.

Rustibus® 2000 is made for de-scaling ultra large surfacessuch as hatch covers, tank tops, etc.The main consumable spa-res for the Rustibus® 2000 are the Chain Links and the Bolts.One set of Chain Links normally last for approximately 500M², all depending on the use and surface conditions. TheRustibus® 2000 can also be delivered with Disposable ChainDrums.These drums do not require any maintenance or sparesreplacement. Simply use the drums until they are destroyedand then change them with new ones. Average lifetime: 500sq.m. Average operation cost is around 1 € / M².The realistic capacity is up to 30 M² per hour, achievingresults of SA 1,5! The most powerful machine of its type onthe market!

The only consumable part is the Disposable ChainDrum.These chain drums are made for one-time-use only and do notrequire any spares replacement. RUSTIBUS® PIPE SERIESThe Rustibus® Pipe Series are a new range of mechanicalmachines designed for the sole purpose of de-scaling and cle-aning outer pipe surfaces, in one 360 degree operation. TheRustibus® Pipe series are state of the art designed and quali-ty engineered machines, made of stainless steel and alumi-nium.

Rustibus® Pipe machine uses centrifugal force to drive thecleaning process, which is carried out by sets of rotating ham-mers with Cemented Carbide units. These units hammer andscrape off paint and corrosion at a capacity of up to linear 75ft/23 m per hour and can give a cleaning result of SSPC–SP11 (SA2,0). The Rustibus® Vertical System (RVS) is a contracting servicefrom Dalseide Shipping Services. This service is availableduring cargo operations alongside or when in dry-dock.

The Rustibus® Air Pro. removes harmful particles and watercondensation from your airline. Rustibus® Air Pro. will alsokeep your air tools and compression equipment lubricated(using a fogging system), so the air tools work at peak effici-ency as well as increasing their life. RUSTIBUS® SAFETY FIRSTThe Safety of our customers is of utmost importance to us andwe make it our business to make your business safer.

Every Rustibus® Electrical machine is fitted with a Thermal-magnetic circuit breaker to protect the operator and themachine. Our two largest models, the 2000 and 1200 are allfitted with voltage trips to avoid sudden starting of the motorwhen power is restored should a power failure occur.

Rustibus® also offers our clients additional safety measures.This includes our specially designed Earth Breaker device foruse with our electrical machines. (See page 48)

The pneumatic air line ’whip check’ safety cables, which arestandard on all our pneumatic machines. (See page 49)

Rustibus® Pulley Removal Guide.

Take off the pulley: loosen the ‘umbrako-bolts’ in the Bush.(See picture below) Place one of these bolts in the ‘Thirdhole’ and tighten up the bolt until the Pulley is loose. Pull offthe pulley by hand or use light tools.

Do not use an Adjustable Bearing Puller to do this!

NOTES ON BELT REMOVAL.Taking off and reinstalling the Belts can be doneby turning the chain drum and using a screwdriverto lever off the belts.
