I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and break. If you missed the
last meeting, we had a lot of fun! We sang Christmas songs, watched A
Social Network Christmas, and had our Christmas ornament exchange. And
we all got to wears our PJs, which was awesome!
Over break Tamara dropped off all
41 blessing bags at The Union
Rescue Mission and they were very
grateful! Thanks again girls for
all your giving hearts!
Today we have Lisa Johnson’s Mom,
Becky Palmer, coming to talk to us
about nutrition. Welcome back to
MOPS and Happy 2012!
Introducing Jayme Watkins and Brooke
Jackson...
Jayme grew up in Kingman, Kansas. She
has been married to her husband Andy
for 7 years and they have one girl,
Aubrianne (2) and a baby on the way
(due in February). Her favorite thing
about being a mom is watching Aubrigrow and learn. Also, getting those
hugs and kisses. As a family they like
to play games outside, go on walks, and
sing songs. Something not many people
know about Jayme is that her husband
and her are high school sweethearts,
and so are both of their parents. Her
favorite bible verse is Psalm 100.

Snowmen on a Stick
| www.derbyfccmops.blogspot.com
For each snowman, you will need three thick slices of
banana, a grape, a sliver of carrot, and a triangular
piece of apple. (Tip: Poke a hole in the apple piece with
a bamboo skewer first to make assembly easier.)
Have your kids slide the fruit onto the skewer, then
use the carrot slivers for noses, mini chocolate chips
for eyes and buttons, and pretzel sticks for arms.
These banana-based snowmen are decidedly more tropical than the
frosty variety, and kids can assemble their own if you prepare the
fruit for them. (from familyfun.go.com)
