Tour Itinerary:

May 14th: Depart USA to Dublin Airport {overnight flight}

May 15th: Cead Mile Failte! (One Hundred Thousand Welcomes!) Visit Malahide Castle this morning… enjoy tea/coffee & scones. Check into the Westbury Hotel, just off Dublin’s Grafton Street. Enjoy some free time this afternoon in the capital city before dinner this evening.

May 16th: Depart Dublin this morning & travel south to Co. Laois via Kildare. Stopped at the renowned Irish National Stud & Japanese Gardens. Arrive at the acclaimed Ballyfin Resort in Co. Laois.

May 17th: After a leisurely breakfast, travel to the village of Tullamore in Co. Offaly. Visit the Tullamore Dew Visitor Centre, home to this famous Irish whiskey since 1829. Enjoy a private tasting of their 6 whiskeys. Return to Ballyfin in the afternoon, where you may like to enjoy many of the on-site activities available on their over 60 acres of private parkland, 28 acre lake, ancient woods, follies & grottoes.

May 18th: Travel south to the Kingdom of Co. Kerry today. Enroute enjoy a stop in Limerick, City of Culture 2014, in the heart of the Shannon region. Enjoy a visit to King John’s Castle. Continue via the village of Adare, Ireland’s most picturesque village lined with thatched cottages. Arrive in the heritage town of Kenmare in Co. Kerry where you will spend 4 nights. Enjoy an Irish coffee uponarrival and later dinner here this evening.

May 19th: Today explore Ireland’s most famous peninsula, touring the Ring of Kerry. Visit the acclaimed Muckross House & Gardens, just outside of Killarney. Return to Sheen Falls Lodge for overnight.

May 20th: This morning travel east to the scenic & serene region of Gougane Barra in Co. Cork. Stop at St. Finbarr’s Oratory overlooking the majestic Gougane Barra Lake. Continue south to along part of the Wild Atlantic Way to the fishing village of Bantry. Here you will visit Bantry House & Gardens. Travel back to Kenmare via the town of Glengarriff, a stunning location where ocean, river and ancient oak forest meet.

May 21st: This morning travel to the Beara Peninsula to visit Molly Gallivan’s 200 year old cottage and farm. Experience the simple country lifestyle in rural Ireland before the days of electricity and modern conveniences. Later enjoy some free time in Kenmare this afternoon. Tonight enjoy a farewell dining experience in Kenmare town.

May 22nd: After breakfast, the group will travel back to Shannon Airport for departure. Slan Abhaile! (Safe Home!)
