THE ELEGANCE AT HERSHEYA Weekend Celebration of Cars for Causes.

Founded in 2010, The Elegance at Hershey is a premier automotive event featuring only the finest and most beautiful automobiles. The Elegance celebrates a bygone era when the automobile stirred our imaginations and quickened our hearts. Created by a small group of enthusiasts as an independent, non-profit organization, The Elegance is dedicated to supporting the JDRF and furthering automotive interests by supporting the AACA Museum and the AACA Library and Research Center.

Events of The Elegance at Hershey

The Grand AscentA two-day vintage hill climb exhibition. Drivers of vintage and antique sports and race cars navigate the back road of The Hotel Hershey. The Grand Ascent is sanctioned by the Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA). This exciting hill climb exhibition delights enthusiasts and curious spectators alike. Exhibitors display space available near the course for sponsors and vendors.

Friday Cocktail Party Mingle with show car exhibitors, Grand Ascent drivers, judges, sponsors and other VIPs at our Friday Cocktail Party, held at the AACA Museum. This is a casual event to meet the fellow automotive enthusiasts with whom you will spend the weekend, and to catch up with old friends.

The Concorso BizarroA-tongue-in-cheek car show bringing together those mechanical misfits, those automotive abhorrences and the just plain tacky parts of the car world. They are the pride and joy of their respective owners and the Concorso Bizarro affords us the opportunity to have some fun with both the vehicles and their owners. In conjunction with this we have invited a number of car clubs to join us in displaying their cars. This adds another dimension to the Concorso Bizarro experience.

The CelebrationA Saturday evening gala dinner celebrating The Elegance at Hershey. Join sponsors, exhibitors and supporters of the AACA and JDRF in the ballroom of the Hotel Hershey for an evening of fine food, great entertainment and an equally great silent auction.

The Elegance A Concours d’Elegance garden party featuring 70 of the world’s finest collector cars. These rare and beautiful vehicles are artfully arranged in The Hotel Hershey’s classically manicured formal gardens. The Hotel Hershey provides an ideal location for this day of mutual admiration and relaxed camaraderie. The Elegance also features wine tastings, live music, fine jewelry displays and sponsor exhibitions featuring restoration shops and highly sought after automobilia.

AfterglowA grand finale reception event following The Elegance. A fitting end to our motorsports weekend, the Afterglow allows exhibitors, sponsors, judges and other VIPs the opportunity to unwind as the show cars are removed from the field.

SeminarsThree seminars are planned for Saturday, the subjects of which are under development.

AuctionThis year the Keno Brothers will host a high end collector car auction on Saturday on the grounds of the Hotel Hershey.

THE ELEGANCE OF BENEFICIARIESTHE ELEGANCE BENEFICIARIES

Furthering diabetes research.

Since its inception, The Elegance has contributed the bulk of the funds raised to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Over the past 4 years, The Elegance has donated nearly half a million dollars for improving the lives of diabetes sufferers and finding a cure for this catastrophic disease.

JDRF sponsors $568 million in scientific research in 17 countries, and is the only organization globally with a strategic plan to progressively remove the impact of Type 1 Diabetes from people’s lives until it is no longer a threat to anyone. Three million Americans suffer from Type 1 Diabetes, a growing number. With your help, in 2015 we will again provide these vital funds, so that JDRF has the opportunity to improve the lives of sufferers and one day find a cure.

Supporting automotive interests.

The Elegance also supports two charitable organizations to further the automotive hobby. The Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) is the largest not-for-profit collector car club in the world, with more than 60,000 members. At it’s headquarters in Hershey, PA, the club maintains the AACA Library and Research Center.

The AACA Library and Research Center has a staff of full time professional librarians who maintain an extensive, active collection of historical vehicle manuals, marketing materials, books, photographs and more. The Library is free and open to the public daily.

The nearby AACA Museum is dedicated to preserving and exhibiting historic automobiles and other vehicles. Open daily to the public, the AACA Museum strives to tell the story of the automobile of the “horseless carriage” from the 1886 Benz Patent Motor Car to the concept cars of tomorrow.

As a 501(c)3 organization, your contribution to The Elegance can provide a tax deduction for you or your company. Your financial support of this event will help advance the very important work of our beneficiaries. Our history is short — only 4 years — but our goal is to continue this event and further our legacy for decades to come. You can help continue this legacy through your sponsorship. Thank you.
