Seed-to-Plate Nutrition Education, designed by Recipe for Success Foundation (RFS) is focused exclusively on

combating childhood obesity through education and empowerment.

With the help and support of nearly 100 high-profile professional chefs, along with organic gardeners, early childhood

educators, scientists and nutritionists, RFS developed a comprehensive, grade-specific, award-winning, experiential

learning program that makes healthy food fun. Our program puts children in touch with their food with coordinated, hands-on classes in the garden and kitchen. RFS empowers children with skills to support a lifetime of healthy eating habits.

We fight marketing with marketing by making healthy food fun, engaging and yummy, resulting in measured change in

childrens eating patterns and food attitudes as well as positively affecting their familys dining habits and food choices.

After just one year in the program, children are exhibiting impressive behavior change with an average 30% increased

    veggie consumption.

Nationally recognized, we work directly with the First Ladys Lets Move! initiative, and enjoy the support of a broad-based

coalition of elected officials, teachers, school administrators, health professionals and researchers collaborating to reverse

    the obesity epidemic.

There is no reason for schools to reinvent the wheel. RFS wants you to take advantage of the resources we have spent

years and millions of dollars to test and measure.

Now schools nationwide can implement our award-winning programs using their own staff with materials and support from

the Recipe for Success Foundation Home Team. Licensed RFS Affiliate Partners send staff through a comprehensive,

self-paced training and certification program that is provided via the web. Then certified S2P Instructors are supported with

a robust curriculum and ongoing professional advice provided by the RFS Home Team.

    Objectives

The Seed-to-Plate Nutrition Education programs are designed to change the way children understand, appreciate and

eat their food; instigate long term changed behaviors; and give them practical skills to support a lifetime of healthy eating

    and decision making.
