The DYNAMOGèNE, street theatre company, was created in 1995, following Clintonbaco’s story (1990-1994). Our shows are meant for the street, they are based upon life-size toys where poetry of the machinery is sustained by the absurd but deeply human acting of the characters. We tackle the world of work topic in a discreet and burlesque way, with completely zany characters and implicit emotions. Our creations are for every kind of public, from the youngest to the oldest, from the village idiot to the street theatre intellectual. We apply ourselves to make it enjoyable for everyone, with different reading level.

Mr Culbuto is not properly giving a show. He's pulled along the streets by a delivery man who puts him down every now and again, and let him briefly and unexpectedly play with the audience (3 to 5 minutes). Then, the delivery man puts him back on the chariot and pulled him again...
Contact with audience obligatory, interactive performance!
TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE on grass, sand or clay! only on hard, flat & areas (cement, paving stones, tarmac …)

Open air cinema where the public where the public enters by a factory portal. Changing focus: on the screen, on the comedians, on the machine and often two at the same time.
Three missed start, three aborted attempt… Get out of the factory, see the world, and hope for better. But it gets bad, sandy, and it derails… Deserted landscapes, flourishing ruins, hallucinated, offbeat and absurd encounters, decrepitude, walls falling into pieces… And a return as a funnel.

Just like blunted sword swallowers, they make every effort to noisily bring back to life the madness of this infernal engine. And we’ll learn throughout the story about the famous ancestor, the founder of Etablissements Dynamogène, who discovered a satanic rhythm which had later become Rock’n’roll. Seriously, Chuck Berry, Jimmy Hendricks and the others have nothing but stolen everything from him. NO, ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT DEAD!

A hybrid mobile music machine, and a real mechanical batucada which exclusively relies on muscular energy… The utilitarian aesthetic of the whole is furiously reminiscent of agricultural machinery of roaring twenties. PARTICIPATIVE INSTALLATION Brand new from the Dynamogene Establishment, a playful and efficient novelty: The Athletic-Cyclo-Disco-Club ! Cyclists’ friends who love music, come to sweat on the search for the right tempo and beat the world record! Be the rightful heir of Chuck Berry, James Brown and Raymond Poulidor!
This machine works only with muscular energy! The public (10 years old mini) is invited to do some cycling (as an apartment bike) and/or turn the manivelle (2 fellows: musical sport is a family business). Rotation is sent, via a flywheel, to a generator. The electricity produced runs a record player that plays 45 rpm record. The cylcing directly influence the speed of rotation! Find the right tempo is a matter of specialists. Muscular music lovers, come and test your ears and calves! Note: no need to be a confirmed athlete to run the machine.
