CUSTOMER FEEDBACK & REVIEWS

“Sealegs takes the tides completely out of the equation. I’ve used my Sealegs more in the past month than I used my other boat all of last year.”

- Jim Bicknell, Sealegs Owner

“The family jumps into the boat on the lawn, and we are in the water in about 90 seconds. It goes anywhere and my children say their father has the coolest boat in the world.”

- Kevin Beaulieu, Sealegs Owner

The Sealegs performs fl awlessly on sea and land, over some pretty hairy terrain, including harbour mud and steep bush tracks. It is an amazing machine and we’ve done several coastal passages. Sealegs friendly backup has been fi rst class.

- Brian Rogers, Sealegs Owner

“For pleasure boaters, Sealegs simply makes entering and leaving the water as easy as it gets.”

- Popular Science Magazine ‘Grand Award Winner’ – Best of What’s New 2010 Recreation

“We’ve given ours a thorough workout in fi ve years and put it through some very testing conditions. Ranging from bar crossings, surf landings, open coastal voyaging – to mudfl at crawling and bush track driving. It is a real testament to the brilliant design of these craft that they are so reliable and low maintenance.”

- Waterline Magazine

testament to the brilliant design of these craft that they are so reliable and

“In terms of build quality, it could not be faulted. The attention to detail is excellent and wherever you look you can see some detail that has been thoroughly thought through.”

- RIB International Magazine

“It is a remarkably simple concept but don’t be fooled. The design, engineering and marinisation of the components necessary to ensure longevity is considerable indeed.”

- Trade-a-Boat Magazine

“It is so good that I have been able to judge it entirely on its merits as a sea boat and, even in direct comparison to the conventional RIB market, it stands out as a safe, robust, entertaining and thoroughly likeable leisure boat. Its performance, allied to its unique versatility, its rock solid residuals and its splendid practicality make it far and away the best amphibious leisure boat you can buy.”

WATER SPORTS

BAIT BOARD

Located on the stern for cutting up bait or cleaning fi sh. With a simple mounting hole the bait board is easy to put in place and remove for cleaning or stowing away.

DUAL BATTERY SYSTEM

Two 12 volt batteries and a voltage sensitive relay module permits for dual battery charging. Allows selection between Batt 1, Batt 2, both or o .

RIB BOARDING LADDER

Award winning foldable swim ladder which is contoured to the shape of the tubes for easy stowage. The ladder mounting system has a retaining clip which makes deploying a breeze.

POWER STEERING

An electric hydraulic pump provides extra pressure to the steering system. This provides the operator with fi ngertip control at the steering wheel.

LED FLOODLIGHTS

Dual 55 watt variable direction fl oodlights mounted on top of the ski pole at the stern. These lights o er great visibility during the evening hours and night; they are switched on/o from the console and can be rotated 360°.

RIB ASSIST WINCH

Compact and powerful winch which is perfect for helping with retrieval of the anchor. The winch is operated by a foot switch conveniently located on the starboard side foredeck.

T-TOP

Acrylic canvas material over a rugged alloy frame o ers protection from the elements and solid handholds for working or fi shing around the cockpit- The top section of the T-top can be removed for shipping and stowage.

FUSION IPOD STEREO

Rated at 280 watts the stereo uses two 6” waterproof speakers and is iPod ready. The front face completely encloses the iPod when the stereo is in use. This marine grade stereo system is 100% water proof.

MAXWELL WINCH

A switch at the console allows raising and lowering the anchor at any time without having to set/retrieve and stow the rope/chain. Patented system greatly improves the handling by leading the rope into a wave pattern while retrieving instead of the traditional jam cleat pattern.

CANOPY & CLEARS

Same durable bimini as on the RIB’s but with the addition of rugged clears for maximum protection from the elements. The clears are made in three panels so that the centre can be rolled up to allow air fl ow into the cockpit.

LOWRANCE HDS7

Colour Chart Plotter / Fishfi nder /Depthsounder. High-sensitivity built in GPS the unit is fl ush mounted in the dash. The dual function /display allows navigation and sonar information to be viewed at the same time.

VHF RADIO

25 watt VHF with 1m fold down aerial. Includes a channel display and can report GPS location when connected with an HDS7. The radio and microphone are 100% waterproof.

SEALEGS LIFEJACKET

Compact and complies with ISO 12402, with a buoyancy of 150kg. Due to the compact size they o er lots of manoeuvrability as well as comfort. With the simple pull of a cord the lifejacket infl ates to keep the user afl oat in the case of an emergency.

AUXILLIARY FUEL TANK

Expand the cruising range on the 7.1 M with the additional 100 litre aluminium fuel tank. The tank fi ts under the aft seat above the deck.

BIMINI CANOPY

Constructed specially for Sealegs and o ering shelter in the centre of the craft from sun and rain when out boating. The bimini material is acrylic canvas and o ers low fade colour, water/mildew-resistance while also being breathable.

DRIVE-ON/OFF TRAILER

Specially designed for drive on/o function to simplify loading and transportation. Trailer has tie down points at the bow and stern to ensure safe and secure transport.

CENTRE CONSOLE COVER

Protects the centre console from the elements while the craft is not in use. The cover is fabricated from a low-fade vinyl and has mildew inhibitors and a special 3M prefi x coating. The 3M coating is stain resistant as well as providing high UV protection.

FOLD-DOWN WINDSCREEN

6.1 and 7.1 models have the option of a fold-down windscreen- to minimize vertical clearance of the Sealegs when necessary for storing the craft inside confi ned areas.

HEAVY DUTY STORAGE COVER

Fabricated from the same acrylic canvas material as the bimini canopy. Low fade colour and water/mildew resistant. The material is also breathable which helps keep the Sealegs dry when in storage.

RAIL BLAZA

Customize your Sealegs with a selection of Rail Blaza mounts and accessories to fi t. Add video camera mounts, mobile phone holders, extra rod holders, bait board- almost any hold all. Rail Blaza mounts can be installed on the transom, console, rail mounted or glued to the tubes.

ALL WHEEL DRIVE & XRT

ALL WHEEL DRIVE (AWD)

The AWD option adds an additional drive motor to the front wheel of a Sealegs. This provides additional traction and increases all-terrain capability when encountering beach inclines of soft sand, shell, shingle and/or pebbles. A button on the top of the joystick allows for all wheel di -lock and a console switch allows for choosing between AWD and rear wheel only drive.

EXTENDED RUN TIME (XRT)

The Sealegs Extended Run Time Option increases the on land run time of the hydraulic

drive system. Includes a fan assisted hydraulic oil cooler and a hydraulic hot fl ush valve which sends hot transmission oil to the oil reservoir tank to exchange it with cooler fi ltered oil. It incorporates an additional 40 amp alternator to give uprated battery charging as well as the ability to run additional electronics. With an XRT package Sealegs has an increased on-land run time of 30 minutes every hour, as opposed to 10 minutes every hour on standard Sealegs.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM AND INBOARD ENGINE

Sealegs amphibious marine craft are powered by an inboard Honda 690cc air cooled engine which drives a closed loop hydraulic transmission circuit. The console mounted hydraulic joystick gives fully variable speed control in both forward and reverse, with a maximum speed of 10kph (6mph).

The inboard engine is electric start and runs o the same fuel tank as the outboard motor.

The hydraulic transmission circuit uses industrial grade pump and wheel motors and provides up to 250 bar (3700psi) with a maximum of 950Nm (700lbft) of torque at each wheel.

Sealegs craft have very high torque available at low RPM, which combined with the high ground clearance, gives impressive capability to transverse over di cult terrain.

The Sealegs wheels are retracted and deployed by the inboard powered hydraulic lift pump which provides each hydraulic cylinder a maximum lifting capacity of 3000kg (6600lbs) at 205 bar (3000psi).

Sealegs has developed a revolutionary concept of amphibious marine craft which have been specifi cally developed to take all the hassle out of the boat launching/retrieval process. It is the perfect powerboat solution for waterfront properties and it’s an absolute game-changer!

An amphibious Sealegs craft is powered on land by a small inboard engine which drives steerable, hydraulic motorised wheels. At the push of a button the wheels retract or extend, similar to an airplane undercarriage, and Sealegs swiftly transforms itself from an all-terrain vehicle into an ocean-going powerboat. The complete system is built into a specially designed and strengthened combination vehicle/hull chassis to give users a fully integrated, easy to use, turn-key package.

The Sealegs system has been designed to ensure that all submersible components are salt-water ready.

It sounds simple, and it’s simple to use.

Sealegs has invested millions of dollars into research and development of its patented amphibious technology. There are now over 600 Sealegs amphibious marine craft in use in 25 countries worldwide.

BENEFITS OF SEALEGS Single handed operation. Gives one person the freedom

to launch their boat by themselves, when they want.

Immediate access to and from the water – no waiting,

backing trailers, winching or parking.

Embarking or disembarking no longer means getting

wet.

Children can safely be in the boat at all times thereby

avoiding possible accidents.

More time on the water, less time spent getting in and

out of the water.

Adds to the fun and pleasure of your boating experience.

Greater use of your investment.
