So many new projects are on their way; New museums such us the new museum of the Greek Folk Art in Plaka, extremely interesting exhibitions such as the Pab-lo Picasso-Jean Cocteau at the Theoharaki Foun-dation and so much more offering a new facette to this historical city. Within this issue we are proud to present a special section dedicated to the wonders of Greece. Through the eyes of famous photographers we are trying to offer you a small taste of this unrivaled beauty. Divanity is divided into four sections, the snooper, the shopper, the taster and the wayfarer, and covers every major topic of interest to the discerning visitor. Our main goal has been to bring to life a hotel mag-azine that will travel you through all that Athens has to offer: from the 5.000 years of history to the illuminating modern city that it has become, the one with the brand new museums, galleries, bou-tiques and numerous restaurants. Είμαστε ιδιαίτερα χαρούμενοι που για ακόμα μια φο-ρά σας καλωσορίζουμε με αυτό το τεύχος του περι-οδικού μας, του Divanity.Η Αθήνα βρίσκεται σε μια φάση αληθινής αναγέννη-σης, που τη μεταμορφώνει σε σπουδαία πόλη! Πολ-λά νέα έργα και εκδηλώσεις βρίσκονται εν εξελίξει: καινούργια μουσεία, όπως το Μουσείο Ελληνικής Λαϊκής Τέχνης στην Πλάκα, αλλά και μοναδικές εκ-θέσεις, για παράδειγμα, εκείνη που αφορά τους Πά-μπλο Πικάσο και Ζαν Κοκτώ στο Ίδρυμα Θεοχαρά-κη, καθώς κι άλλα πολλά, δίνουν νέα όψη σε αυτήν την ιστορική πόλη. n e s t i n A terrestrial paradise for herons, flamingoes and 00 other bird species, lake vistonida hosts a variety of fauna that either come to stay during the winter months or rest during the annual exhausting migrations. Along with the Porto lagos lagoon in Rodopi, the lake creates one of the loveliest wetland areas in the country, blessed by nature and protected by the international RAMSAR Convention. Australia from Perth to Sydney by train, said Jonathan Phang laughing. The host and chef of the popular show Gourmet Trains came to Athens, hosting an exclusive event, an original collaboration between Divani Caravel and Fnl-Guide.com. The event named Dishes, Destinations, Stories , was a journey through flavours that charmed the dinner guests of the exclusive rowns. It wasn t chance. Food works on our emotions, something that you understand here in Greece. It helps break the ice between us, because when we sit at a table, we get closer to each other. Food is truly the best icebreaker! I met nice and friendly people in Greece. Recently, I went to Peloponnisos, to vitina and tasted a great baklava. I love your food, in England flavours are kind of dry, without strength or richness. In Greece I loved the kleftiko. Also stuffed vegetables and cheese pies! So, what was Jonathan Phang s impression of Athens I walked through Plaka and went to the New Acropolis Museum. I haven t been to the Acropolis yet, because I m prejudiced: I m afraid that if I go up there, I ll never come down again. G

Well traveled and open, the host is originally from the Caribbean. He actually started his career in fashion. It happened by chance, but

working in a fashion agency taught me to be socially agile, seeing so many people all the time. Some people have short careers and others longer, like Jerry Hall. Phang is actually still working with the famous model, keeping in touch with the fashion world. What else pleases him I like writing a lot. In fact, my book The Pepperpot Club is not about recipes but reminisces of my mother s kitchen.

Το καλύτερο ταξίδι μου ήταν στην Αυστραλία, από το Περθ έως το Σίδνεϊ με τρένο, λέει γελώντας ο Jonathan Phang. Ο παρουσιαστής και σεφ της δημοφιλούς σειράς Gourmet Trains ήρθε στην Αθήνα ως host ενός exlusive event, μιας πρωτότυπης συνεργασίας μεταξύ Divani Caravel και Fnl-Guide.com. Το Πιάτα, Προορισμοί, στορίες , όπως ονομάστηκε, ήταν μια γευστική διαδρομή, που γοήτευσε τους συνδαιτημόνες στο πολυτελές rown s. Διόλου τυχαίο. Το φαγητό επιδρά στα συναισθήματά μας, κάτι που στην Ελλάδα μπορείτε να καταλάβετε.

οηθά να σπάσει ο πάγος μεταξύ μας, αφού, όταν καθόμαστε σε ένα τραπέζι, ερχόμαστε πιο κοντά. Το φαγητό όντως είναι ο καλύτερος παγοθραύστης! Στην Ελλάδα συνάντησα ωραίους και φιλικούς ανθρώπους. Πρόσφατα πήγα στην Πελοπόννησο, στη υτίνα, και γεύτηκα έναν ωραιότατο μπακλαβά. Λατρεύω το φαγητό σας, στην Αγγλία οι γεύσεις είναι διαφορετικές. Στην Ελλάδα, πάντως,

μου άρεσε το κλέφτικο. Επίσης, τα γεμιστά και οι τυρόπιτες! Πώς όμως είδε την Αθήνα ο Jonathan Phang; Περπάτησα στην Πλάκα και πήγα στο έο Μουσείο Ακρόπολης. Στην Ακρόπολη δεν πήγα ακόμη, γιατί είμαι προκατειλημμένος: φοβάμαι ότι, αν ανέβω, δεν θα κατέβω ποτέ από εκεί. Κοσμοπολίτης σίγουρα, ο παρουσιαστής και δεινός σεφ έχει καταγωγή από την Καραϊβική. στόσο ξεκίνησε την καριέρα του από το χώρο της μόδας. Προέκυψε τυχαία, ωστόσο το να δουλεύω σε πρακτορείο μόδας με δίδαξε να είμαι κοινωνικά ευέλικτος, γιατί έβλεπα συνεχώς πολύ κόσμο. Κάποιοι άνθρωποι έχουν σύντομες καριέρες και άλλοι μακρόχρονες, όπως η Τζέρι Χολ . Μάλιστα με το διάσημο μοντέλο, ο Phang δουλεύει ακόμη, διατηρώντας έτσι την επαφή του με τη μόδα. Ten artworks are the focus of an attempt to create a differentiated narrative about Min-imalism, pointing out a variety of perspec-tives, locations and time periods. Any prede-termined ideas about Minimalism that visi-tors may have upon entering the exhibition will have collapsed by the time they leave.

Although I consider the first impression that one gets from somebodys style important, equally important for me is what follows, which characterises them. A nice, stylish look can seem incongruous, if the person doesnt support it with their character and their beliefs. My style can be described as preppy, with an Italian twist. Ive adopted it throughout the day.

Proclaimed a NESCO World Heritage Site in , Mete-ora or the Monastic City of the Rocks is one of the largest and most important complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries in Greece, second only to Mount Athos. In this region of almost inaccessible sandstone peaks, monks settled on these columns of the sky from the

th century onwards. Twenty-four of these monasteries were built, despite incredible dif-ficulties, at the time of the great revival of the eremetic ideal in the 5th century. Their th-century frescoes mark a key stage in the devel-opment of post- yzantine painting. The guided hiking tour of Meteora will start on the foot of the Doupiani rock, right beneath the old ruins of Pantokrator monastery. From there you are going to cross the massive rock pillars following a trail that leads to the hid-

den monasteries of papanti and the ruins of St. Dimitrios. From that point and after a short walk you will find yourself gazing at the im-pressive monasteries of Great Meteoron and varlaam which are located on a higher level, with enough time to spend for a visit in one of them. Αν και θα ήθελα να βρίσκομαι σε μια πόλη από , όπως αρκελώνη ή ερολίνο, δεν μου είναι εύκολο να ζω μακριά από το κέντρο της Αθήνας, όπου γεννήθηκα, μεγάλωσα και αγαπώ πολύ για τα κρυμμένα μυστικά του. Το Warehouse, με τη χαλαρή ατμόσφαιρα, την ωραία κουζίνα και τον speciality καφέ του, και το Σορολόπ με επανέφεραν στα Εξάρχεια. Τα κυριακάτικα απομεσήμερα απέκτησαν ενδιαφέρον με το Sunday runch Festival και τις ωραίες μουσικές του Dj ιάννη Κοντογιάννη στο The Clumsies. Στη δική μου λίστα με τα καλύτερα κοκτεϊλάδικα του κόσμου είναι επίσης τα Gin Joint και aba au Rum .
