TL; DR is an acronym used on Internet discussion boards and social media which stands for “too long; didn’t read”. However, the implicaUons of this phenomenon reach far beyond our Facebook pages.

In 2012, CollegeBoard (the company which organizes the SAT’s) released shocking data poinUng out that students who took the test that year had scored the lowest scores since 1972 on the English/Reading secUon. The average student scored 496 out of 800.
Students simply are not as prepared as they used to be when compleUng university level reading and wriUng.
