100% salt water = 10.0 ppg70% salt water + 30% Z-Clear Fluid = 10.5 ppg50% salt water + 50% Z-Clear Fluid = 10.9 ppg

The density of concentrated Z-Clear Fluid is 11.2 to 11.8 ppg, with 72% to 78% polymerized carbohydrate solids. The concentration of dissolved solids create an osmotic demand for the water that is greater than the formation demand for the water.

The inhibition is similar to oil based fluids having high salt concentrations in the emulsified water phase.

A full range of lubricants are also available for use in this system.
