Dear friends, neighbours and visitors,A good start to the New Year, my chihuahua is having puppies, they will be full pedigree. I am so excited, I don’t know how many she will have yet, they are due in March some time.My friend Graham invited me and some other friends to Castellar Zoo in Sotogrande last month, it is run by donations and sponsors. Its a petting zoo, which means you can go in with some of the animals and feed them. They have a Tiger cub which they have loaned out to another zoo. They will let me know when it comes back so I can go

see it and hopefully play with it whilst it is still young enough.Everyone has been talking about the snow in UK, we have been very lucky to have such nice weather here, well apart from the mini hurricane we had not long ago. Did you see the damage it did? There were boards down all over the place. We have some special offers for March, If you would like to advertise with The Diary call or email me for more information. Also, we are desperately in need of properties to rent and sell. So please give us a call we want your business.Be safe & have fun.

After 10 years of having my shop, I have decided to temporarily close after Christmas due to the current economic cl imate. I will stil l be making jewellery, doing repairs, alterations and taking commissions, but without the overheads of

a shop, I wil l be able to give you better prices. So if you’re looking for that special somthing then please check out my

Facebook page, or you can currently shop online via my DeWanda page (limited range - links below). Alternatively, I also have two display cabinets going into Bellissima Beauty, Torreguadiaro (with more locations to follow).

Finally, I would like to thank all of my customers for their support over the years and wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year

(I was let down with two new locations and I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason, so I took that as a sign that they weren’t meant to be and that something better will come

along in good time. I will begin my shop search again in the Spring and see what happens.)

Please mention “THE DIARY” when responding to advertisements

Aries - (March 21st - April 20th) Resist peer pres-sure. Friends are goading you to do something reck-less and the thought is tempting. In the end, you must preserve the resources you’ve worked so carefully to gather. Mouthing off to an oppressive colleague or manager may be fun, but it will also mean you won’t get your choice of plum positions in times to come. If you want to blow off steam, do it on the athletic field or gym. You tend to store stress in your body. Find an outlet for this anxiety before you do something rash.

Taurus - (April 21st - May 21st) Beware of adopting an autocratic attitude. There’s lots of work to be done, but that doesn’t give you license for being a tyrant. You’ll get much better results by being gentle but firm. Be on hand to ensure the guidelines are met, but praise work-ers often for their diligence. Buy the team lunch or offer incentives for meeting a deadline. If someone openly flaunts your authority, you can quietly dismiss them. This will be sufficient to prove you mean business.

Gemini - (May 22nd - June 21st) Arguing over re-ligion, politics and ethics is useless. Everybody is con-vinced their view is correct. Trying to convert others will be a waste of valuable time. It will also cause offence. You’re better off sticking to innocuous subjects like the weath-er, just to preserve harmony. After all, you’ll have to live and work with these people for a long time to come. The least you can do is respect each person’s right to believe what they want. After all, you want the same courtesy.

Cancer - (June 21st - July 23rd) A battle over shared resources leaves you drained and worried. You hate fighting about money, but you are intent on coming away from a business arrangement with your fair share. You’ve worked too long and hard to walk away from a hefty pay-ment. It may be necessary to enlist the aid of a lawyer. When your rivals see you have professional backing, they might give up their pathetic attempt to take the whole pot of gold for themselves. A show of strength will be effective.

Leo - (July 21st - August 23rd) A close partnership is showing signs of strain. It’s hard to control your tem-per with someone who seems intent on ruining their own life. Instead of issuing a lecture or ultimatum, quietly state your views and then walk away. Don’t discuss the mat-ter any further until a few days have passed. This bond is too important to throw away in a fit of fury. If you’re single, it may be because you are being too romantic about relationships. Focus on the real, not the ideal.

Virgo - (August 24th - September 23rd) Health problems are slowing your progress. You’ll need to get more sleep if you’re going to be productive. It also helps to eat proper meals. Prepare yourself breakfast before heading out and choose something nutritious, like whole grain cereal and fruit. Wholesome snacks can also keep your energy up. Choose nuts and cheese instead of chips and chocolate. Paperwork will be delayed, so have an alternate plan in place. You might have to call a bureaucratic institution several times or visit in person.

Libra - (September 24th - October 23rd) A youngster is taking on some wild ways and you’ve got to put the lid on this situation. You hate enforc-ing rules, but it’s the only way to ensure their comfort and security. Outwardly, they seem to enjoy defying authority. Inwardly, they long to know you will protect them from themselves. Of course, you’ll meet with resistance at first. Patience and persistence will pay off. It’s just a matter of keeping the long term goal in view. Everyone needs to learn to play by the rules.

Scorpio - (October 24th - November 22nd) A painful reminder weighs on your conscience all day. If you’ve always felt guilty about how you treated a particular relative, go ahead and apologise. It’s pos-sible your victim is no longer around. In that case, do something kind for someone who is struggling. Explain why you are offering this help and insist you are not repaid for your generosity. Repaying this karmic debt will allow you to move forward with happiness and pur-pose. Break the chains that keep you tied to the past.

Sagittarius - (November 23rd - December 21st) Tech-nological breakdowns and travel delays will wreak havoc with your life. Be sure to keep your mobile charged. Have some cash on hand, too. Credit cards have an inexpli-cable way of not working when they should do, making it impossible to buy essential items. A friend or relative’s bad behaviour will tempt you to say something crushing. Bite your tongue. Insulting this highly sensitive soul will be cause for regret later on. You pride yourself on be-ing honest, but sometimes practicing tact is preferable.

Capricorn - (December 22nd - January 20th) Don’t leave your possessions out where some thief can eas-ily lift them. Lock gadgets in your glove box or stow them in the boot of your car, rather than leaving them on the seat for the world to see. It’s also critical to lock your doors, even during the daytime when you are home. Keep your wallet or purse with you at all times at work. If that’s not possible, stow your belongings in a locker or secure drawer. You don’t want to tempt fate.

Aquarius - (January 21st - February 19th) A head-strong attitude will get you in trouble with your best friend, lover, or business partner. While it’s true you have a clear vision of how things should be, your comrade doesn’t share this view. You must compromise, as the arrange-ment will affect you both. It’s frustrating to give way when you are determined to pursue a particular path. Giving in with grace will pave the way for a better relationship. That’s ultimately better than prevailing in this argument.

Pisces - (February 20th - March 20th) Beware of getting involved in secret intrigues. Such adventures will undermine your personal and professional happiness. If people discover you’ve been covering up an illicit affair, you’ll be treated like a pariah. Keeping important infor-mation from colleagues won’t make you popular. Steer clear of such dramas and mind your own business. Sometimes it’s better to be left in the dark. Are you cop-ing with an elusive health problem? Keep a note of symp-toms and make a list of all the pills and potions you take.
