When World Vision drilling teams strike water, entire villages erupt in celebration. “God has now blessed us with clean water in our village,” says Massa Lamin, a volunteer pump attendant in Sierra Leone. Nobody knows the value of a deep well better than Massa. She lost four of her children to diarrhea caused by contaminated water.
