Once upon a time, a little girl dressed in red, went into the woods to visit her Grandmother.

Bees attacked me so I ran away and never came back!

First she was rude about how I looked and then teased me and threw honey on me.

One day, Little Red Riding Hood came up to me and asked a lot of questions. She was on her own, so I thought I’d keep an eye on her as she made her way to grandma’s house.

I found Little Red Riding Hood’s grandma’s house first but she wouldn’t open the door.

Little Red Riding Hood was awful to me.

Everyone had told me that grandma was nice but she was so rude to me, I thought that it might not be her so I put her into a cupboard.

I put on grandma’s wig and nightgown and climbed into her bed. Little Red Riding Hood turned up.

Little Red Riding Hood from the wolf’s point of view

One day I was in the woods minding my own business when I saw a red cape. The red cape belonged to Little Red Riding Hood and she started to talk to me. She asked me lots of questions such as, “Where is my grandmother’s house?” and “Are you alone Mr Wolf?” I was scared for her because little girls should not be in the woods on their own, so I decided to make sure that she was okay.

I reached her grandmother’s house before her. She had told me that grandma was nice but the old lady at the door was not! I locked her in a cupboard to look for the real old lady but her bed looked so comfortable. I put on her nightgown and wig and climbed in.

When Little Red Riding Hood arrived, she was not happy. She was rude about my big eyes, teeth and ears. She then teased me and guess what? She threw honey all over me!

Bees chased me out of the woods and I never came back! Little Red Riding Hood is a horrible little girl.

How to look after a cat

The Deep Dark Wood: Resource 9b

HomeCats are independent pets. They like to do what they want, when they want. Make sure that you have a cat flap in your door. This means that your cat can come in and go out when they want. Give your cat a basket or a blanket to curl up in. It must be in a warm spot.

What to feed your catHave a bowl of fresh water and fresh food in your home. Your cat should be able to eat and drink when they want.Tinned cat food or tuna is a good meal for your pet.Do not give your animal milk! Water is best for their tummies.

Grooming and careSome cats can lose their fur. It is important to brush your cat with a soft brush.Your pet will also want a cuddle and stroke at times. Some like their heads and ears stroked, others their stomachs. It is important to get to know your animal as every one is different.

Taking your cat to the vetsCats should be taken to the vets for a check up once a year and when they are sick. Sometimes they will need vaccinations. Cats can be given tablets in their food to stop them getting worms and fleas.
