DEAN MARTIN ORCHESTRA The Dean Martin Foundation decides to support culture with the creation of the orchestra with the same name composed by Abruzzesi professionals of considerable artistic level, and also by worthy young students who distinguish theirselves in musical studies. The challenge for the Foundation (to promote a new artistic entity on its territory) is to introduce and support a different way of understanding culture, that crosses itself with multiple objectives of enhancement of talents and resources of their region, giving the right national and international prominence. The choice of giving stage management to Master Antonella De Angelis, strongly affirmed musician for her talent and originality who made her stand out, wants to be a further message of innovation, which comes true supporting one of the very few female orchestra director on national territory. . The Abruzzo Region is also well known for its ‘stars’ who achieved an incredible success abroad . For example, the father of the actor, singer, musician and comedian Dean Martin (i.e., Dino Paul Crocetti) came from Pescara. The so-called “divine poet” Gabriele d’Annunzio was often in the UK and abroad. In Pescara, his restored family birthplace is now a very attractive museum. To continue this tradition, a welcome reception will be held in the beautiful Aurum Terrace, enlivened by the notes of a concert staged in the internal courtyard.
