The Sports Bar is the perfect space for a rocking party! Go all out and have your own private bar and outdoor area. Featuring two pool tables this function space guarantees you hours of entertainment. The Sports Bar is only available to exclusive hire on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Terms and ConditionsConfirmation of bookingDue to demand, tentative bookings can only be held for a period of 5 days. Once this period has lapsed the space will be released without notice. To confirm a booking a deposit of $500 is required, this payment must be paid within 5 days of booking to secure the date and can be done so using credit card, eftpos or cash. This $500 payment forms your bond and is refundable within 7 days of the conclusion of your event pending any further costs incurred.

Final paymentAll catering, beverage, room setup requirements and final guest list are requested to be confirmed a minimum 7 days prior to your function. Please note that all package and additional catering and beverage costs must be paid upon confirmation of final requirements. Should payments not be received, the venue reserves the right not to proceed with the function. All beverage tabs must be paid in advance and any remaining funds at the conclusion of your even will be refunded at the time of bond refund.

CancellationsCancelling a function after the deposit has been made can only be done by consulting directly with the function coordinator and only by the person who paid the initial deposit. Any cancellation made within a period of 2 weeks of function will forfeit the deposit.

Guest EntryThe Dava Hotel’s dress code is smart casual and no person wearing singlet’s, torn clothing or thongs will be admitted. Guest entry will only be permitted in accord with agreed start and finish times. The venue reserves the right to refuse entry to any patron in accordance with normal responsible service of alcohol procedures. Guests not on final guest list supplied will be refused entry. Minors are welcome to attend only when accompanied by a legal guardian, however must vacate the premises by 10pm. No function or even will run later than 12 midnight, no guest will be permitted within an hour of function finish time and no pass outs will be given after 10pm. All guests must exit via the external stairs.

Room AllocationManagement reserves the right to assign another comparable space where the original space becomes inappropriate or unavailable due to circumstances beyond the venues control. The client will be notified immediately of any such change.

Function ConductIt is required that the client will ensure that their guests behave in an orderly and responsible manner at all times. All normal venue policies, procedures and legal responsibilities apply to all persons attending any function at all times including total compliance to all responsible service of alcohol guidelines and standards. When booking a function it is the client’s responsibility to give accurate details in relation to the type of function and its guests. If a guest falsifies information or a function is booked on forged pretenses, the venue reserves the right to cancel or end a function without notice and at the expense of the host. Management reserves the right to intervene at any time in the case of hotel policy being breached.

SecurityAll functions over 50 guests require security, the hotel will engage the appropriate number of security and if not included in the package costs will be charged to the client prior to the event proceeding. The venue reserves the right to engage the security at their discretion for function under 50 guests and clients will be charged a $150 surcharge prior to event proceeding.

Additional requirementsAny additional equipment, decorations or props other than those supplied by the venue must be confirmed with the function coordinator a minimum of 7 days prior to function date. Delivery times and access required must be stated at this time furthermore the venue cannot supply trolleys or staff to assist with the delivery or removal of any equipment. Please note that the venue does not allow any decorations or props to be nailed, screwed, stapled or adhered to any surface without approval. No naked flames are permitted at this venue.

MusicAny acoustic group or dj engaged by the client to perform must observe guidelines set by the hotel. Acoustic groups may not exceed 3 musicians and style must be deemed appropriate by the venue. Music must be of a temperate nature until 9pm to allow bistro diners to vacate the area. Noise restrictions are in place to respect out neighbours thus management reserves that right to regulate volume of any function. Our in house system is available for deck functions only by providing your own device with headphone jack. Playlists and Internet connectivity for online playlists are the responsibility of the client. Your device will be returned at the conclusion of your function.

DamagePlease be advised that the client is financially responsible for any damage, theft, breakage or vandalism sustained to the function area or venue by function guests. Should any extra cleaning be required to return the venue to a satisfactory standard, reimbursement will be deducted from refundable bond. The venue does not accept responsibility for the damage or loss of equipment, merchandise or personal items including gifts left at the venue prior to or after the function. It is recommended that all gifts, equipment and personal items be taken off the premises at the conclusion of your function.
