Initiate & Analyze
The two most important outputs romthis phase are the Project GovernancePlan and the Data Migration Strategy.Both are created jointly with the client.
The Data Migration Strategy describesthe basic principles and approach to beollowed or the data migration project.
It eectively creates the agreement onthe project scope; or example, the levelo history to be migrated, reerencedata, regulatory environment, targetsystem constraints, loading mechanism,audit requirements, etc.
An integral part o this phase is theTechnical Data Analysis to determinethe initial need or data cleansing,enrichment and obuscation.
Design & Development
During the design phase the data
migration specifcations are created inclose collaboration with the client.
Based on these specifcations, theFactory will confgure and developthe components needed or the datamigration process, including thenecessary reconciliation modules.
Test & Acceptance
The migration components are testedon both a technical and a unctionallevel. A number o trial migrations arecarried out in order to enable the clientto perorm acceptance tests on the datamigration process, the audit trail andthe results in the target system.
Execution
The ‘go-live’ data migration is carriedout according to the migration schemeconstructed and fnalized during theprevious phases in order to ensure thereare no surprises at this critical point.
Post Implementation Support Ater go-live the Data Migration Factorywill be available or issue resolution.
Ater ormal completion o the projectthe dedicated migration environmentor the client within the Data Migration
Factory will be decommissioned andany remaining client data deleted.
