The Cube: Have you ever heard of it before? The cube is a personality exercise. Just imagine some things for me. Just imagine an empty, all white room. You can tell she's imagining because her eyes go up and to the right. That means they're accessing the visual part of the brain. In that room, put a cube. - The cube is your self image. How you see yourself. See the cube? Is it big or is it small? - Represents ego. Bigger = healthier, larger ego. Smaller = insecure, more closed in. Is it on the ground or is it floating? - On the ground = practical, day to day, worldly, sensual. Floating = idealistic, intellectual, dreamer Are you facing a flat side or a corner? - Flat side = average. Corner = visionary, dual natured (2 sides showing), energetic, assertive Is it transparent or is it solid? - Transparent = hard to misread. You can tell everything right away. Solid = a little harder to get. Any particular color, design or material? R = Passion, courage Y = Cheerful, upbeat G = Hopeful, optimistic B = Aloof, distant P = romantic, luxurious Add to this picture now a ladder. - The ladder is your ambitions in life. See the ladder? Where is the ladder in the room? - Against the cube = ambitions are a part of who you are/personality. Is it high or low? How tall is it? - High = bigger ambitions, possibly impractical. Small = more achievable, realistic ambitions. If you wanted to climb it, easy or hard? - The easier the ladder is to climb, the easier it is to achieve your ambitions. Now picture some flowers. - The flowers are your friends and how you view them. See the flowers? Do you see a few or do you see a lot? - Can represent how many friends you have or how many you want to have. Also closeness. Where are they? - How they fit into your life. Part of you (the cube) or unrelated? Tied to ambitions (ladder) or love (horse). Are they all one kind or different kinds? - Types of friends. Do you prefer similar people or a wide range? Describe them just a little bit to me. - Personality, style, interest indicators. When you see them, what's your first thought? - How you view your friends. Add to this picture now a horse. - The horse is your ideal partner. See the horse? Where is it? - Proximity to other aspects of your life. Looking at/with the cube = closer to you. Flowers = part of your circle Ladder = ambitions. What's it doing? - How it interacts with your life. Indicator of how you'd intergrate them into your life. If you wanted to give me 3 words to describe the personality of this horse, what would they be? - Positive personality aspects you seek out in a partner. Add to the picture a storm. - The problems in your life and how they affect you. See the storm? Where is it? - Location can be somewhat important. Distance or proximity can be important. Is it violent or gentle? - The problem itself the initial look of the storm = how you treat problems on first sighting.
