ROPA VIEJA 25Old ClothesA favourite amongst visitors to Cuba! There are many theories as to how this dish was named, the most popular is a story abouta man whose family was coming to hishome for dinner. Being very poor, he could not buy enough food for them. To remedy this situation, he went to his closet, gathered some old clothes (rope vieja) and imbued them with his love. When he cooked the clothes, his love for his family turned the clothes into a wonderful beef stew. At The Cuban we have put our own twist on the dish consisting of shredded beef slow cooked for 5 hours amongst red wine, onion, capsicum, garlic, ginger, tomato, bay leaves and mild spices.

MISSILES DE FIDEL 26Fidels MissileHot, delicious and very unique. The red bell pepper is fi rst of all stuffed with tasty lamb mince, onion, garlic and raisins.
