• The telescope was launched on April 24 from the space shuttle “Discovery”

• The telescope is 43.5 ft long

• It weighs 24,500 pounds!

• It cost $1.5 billion to launch!!

• Operation Desert Storm started on January 17, 1991

• President George H.W. bush Senior was the president

• The operation last 38 days
