Announcement for Mini Teams

It is with great sadness that we have had to withdraw our Under 6 team from their competition for 2016.

This is due solely to the fact that some parents from the Under7’s teams are failing to attend away matches.

The Under 6 players will now be divided between the two Under 7 teams and will not miss out on a game.

All parents were made aware that the games would be home and away when they registered.

To leave the other players and parents in the team playing away matches short of players is disrespectful

to your team, the opposition and the referee.

If you are uncertain which team your child is in or have any further questions please contact either-

Under 12’s lost 1-4 to Hills Spirit at Phillips Park

After conceding a shock goal in the

first 30 seconds, the Congs

regrouped and played good exciting

football in the first half to hit back

with a Timothy Yoon goal.

The second half saw Lidcombe

unfortunately lose their momentum

a bit and resume dribbling rather

than passing and forgetting about

attacking down the wings and

clearing the ball in defence.

The effort however was there as usu-

al - just a bit of concentration on tac-

tics needed in future.

With our dreadful injury toll and

Joshua Kattan climbing out of his sick

bed to play, we were lucky to be able

to call on the Under 11s and one

Under 10 to help us out.

Many thanks to Keith, Gabriel,

Donato, Hissham, Shams, and

Anthony. For the Under 12 players

Jason Nguyen, Timothy Yoon and

Renee Miller all went very well.

Under 14-3’s defeated Kellyville 9-0 at Bernie Mullane Reserve

Under 14-4’s defeated Merrylands SFC 5-3 at Merrylands Park

Lidcombe set their alarms for an ear-

ly wake up for their match against

Merrylands which kicked off at

8.30am.

Lidcombe had a full team for the first

time all season and easily accounted

for Merrylands.

Lidcombe were their own worst

enemy in the first half playing dumb

selfish football.

A half time ’talk’ from the coach and

parents soon set the team straight

with some outstanding free flowing

moves resulting.

Goal scorers for Lidcombe were

Pujan Dhungana (3),

Dyanga Bengamine Beshere & Jee

Teng Ong.

While strong games were played by

Alex Maljevac, Jee Teng Ong and

Blake Batchelor.

Under 15’s defeated Kellyville 16-0 at Bernie Mullane Reserve

Canteen Open The canteen will be open every Saturday throughout the

season for ALL games at Phillips Park.

Please make an effort to support your club by volunteering

some time to help serve or cook on the BBQ.

All profits from the canteen go back to the club for

equipment purchases and trophies for presentation day.
