The Epsilon Omicron chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma received one of the only five awards National Headquarters gives out each year. In the spring of last year during our Founders Day Celebration, a National Executive Board Member, Courtney Stone, awarded our chapter “The Commitment to Excellence Award”. This honor led to our President being able to visit the Mable Lee Walton house in Wood-stock, Virginia over Thanksgiving break where Tri Sigma's National Headquarters is located.

A Word from the Interfraternity Council By: Joe Laskey, IFC President

Page 3

Interfraternity Council

The Interfraternity Council has been busy at work this fall semester. So far we have had an extremely successful recruitment week and currently have all of the positions filled after an elec-tion held on September 19th.

We have a large task ahead of us but we have an intelligent group of men in the right positions to make it happen.

We have a vision this semester to grow the Greek members into a Greek com-munity. We have started in a positive direction with different Fraternities hosting

events together in order to raise funds for members of our community in need. With the help of all Fraternities we have plans to restructure our constitution into a tool for everyone to gain guidance from and a structure to hold ourselves more accountable. We are focusing on uniting into a community where the barriers are broken, help is always around, and the men are re-spectful to one another as well as the entire Illinois State University Population.

Recruitment Wrap Up By: Dominic Massa, IFC VP Recruitment

Fall 2014 was another great recruitment for the Interfraternity Council at Illinois State University.

Over 450 men participated in recruitment and that resulted for over 320 signed bids.

It was a great start to the year for Greek Life, and IFC looks to build on the success with another great recruitment this spring.

Congratulations to all Fraternities and their great new members!

The Pi Beta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. located in Nor-mal, IL and the Tau Chi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. located in Springfield, IL are teaming up to raise awareness to Breast Cancer in America.

As prominent Greek lettered organizations in our communities, we share many important values. Service happens to be at the forefront of most things we do. Thus, we have decided to come together and collab-orate on an event, knowing that there is more power in numbers.

The event will be a two-part Breast Cancer awareness event taking place October 24-25. We will be starting the weekend off with a volleyball tournament in the Student Rec Center beginning early Friday evening where we would collect any donations, with all proceeds benefiting the Breast Cancer Awareness Society.

The following Saturday afternoon, there will be a seminar where we will have three guest speakers: one who is expert on breast cancer, one who is a survivor of breast cancer and one individual who is still battling the disease. During the seminar on Saturday, we would like all of our guest and audience members to wear pink shirts or purchase breast cancer shirts from our organizations which will be on sale!

Formal Recruitment Wrap Up By: Ellen Hogan, CPC VP of Public Relations

A Note from the CPC President By: Adrian Fait, CPC President

Hello! My name is Adrian Fait and I am the President of the College Panhellenic Council.

As president, I run our weekly meetings as well as oversee the council.

Our council stands for upholding the four pillars of scholarship, sisterhood, leader-ship, and philanthropy.

We recently just had the most successful recruitment Illinois State University has ever seen and now we are working towards extending an invitation for another sorority to join our campus.

I am honored to be a part of such an amaz-ing organization and cannot wait to see all that the councils accomplish this year.

College Panhellenic Council Page 5

The College Panhellenic Council knew that they were in

for a whirlwind after successfully recruiting 700 women to

go through the Formal Recruitment Process this year.

Formal Recruitment 2014 will go down in

history as the biggest recruitment that Illinois State Uni-

versity has ever seen!

The College Panhellenic Council would like to thank eve-

ryone who participated. Your hard work and dedication

to our Greek Life does not go unnoticed!

The College Panhellenic Council would also like to give a

huge shout out to our Rho Gammas (recruitment

guides) ; recruitment would not have been possible

without your unselfish service to the Panhellenic commu-

nity ladies!

A huge congratulations to all our new CPC members, we

hope that these upcoming years are filled

with happiness and success.

Welcome Home Ladies!

Thank you Rho Gammas!
