cars in this Limited Edition book, The collection…

Alfa Romeo 8c Competizione

Page 4: The Collection

> Wow! That’s what you say when you see the Alfa 8c for the first time… It is such a beautiful car, a proper Alfa Romeo, and you know what they say, if you haven’t owned an Alfa then you aren’t a real petrolhead. So if you haven’t one this is your chance to buy this piece of pure automotive pleasure and satisfaction, if you have this you have everything… Only 500 units were made (they are all sold now…) Top speed: 292km/h…

19/20

Alfa Romeo 8c 1938

Page 5: The Collection

Definately the 1938 Alfa Romeo 8c, deserves to be considered as one of the most beautiful cars ever made…

Aston Martin DBS

Page 6: The Collection

The Aston Martin DBS, for many people the ultimate Aston, for others the 007 car. Both ways, it is still a hell of a car, it’s like the people in Aston took a DB9 and gave it tons of steroids, and Voila! The DBS was born. With it’s V12 517bhp Engine surely gives you a lot of power and speed, but I think most of it’s owners bought it because it looks GREAT! The air intakes, the use of Carbon Fibre it´s muscular looks, but without losing it´s European sports character…

19/20

Aston Martin Rapide

Page 7: The Collection

>The Aston Martin Rapide is without doubt one of the most luxurious and sporty super saloons presented. It can easily beat it’s main opponent the Panamera as it is more beautiful, exclusive, fast and carries the legendary name of Aston Martin…Roughly 2,000 four-seat Rapides are expected to be assembled in 2010.  Each car uses a 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces 470 horsepower and up to 600 Nm of torque.

Aston Martin Cygnet

The new Aston Martin Cygnet is based on the Toyota IQ and it is probably one of the most controversial cars this year… It carries the 2.0 litre engine of the IQ and only current Aston Martin owners will be able to purchase one. The price? It will cost around 30.000-50.000 pounds! Anyways it is really meant to be a daily ride for those who do not want to rack up miles on their Vantage…

Page 9: The Collection

Aston Martin One-77

This is the Aston Martin One-77 and it is the most expensive and the fastest Aston to hit the market. It’s top speed? 354km/h… Only 77 are going to be made and each of them will cost 1.000.000 Euros. Without doubt the One-77 will make it’s owners proud because it is stunning! A great amount of the car’s body is made of Carbon Fiber and light materials and it carries an Aston Martin 7.2 liter V12 Engine…

Audi R8 V10

“ Even better than the R8 V8. But not by very much…”

Think the 414bhp V8 was squirty? The 5.2 V10 punts out 525bhp, chucks the R8 to 62mph in 3.9 seconds and eggs it on to nearly 200ph. Third gear overtakes are very special; it revs to 8,700rpm. That'll make your ears curl up into small, fleshy balls. And then fall off. So yes, it has the measure of most supercars out there…

Ascari A10

Engine: 4,941 cc (302 cu in) V8 Power: 625 bhp (466 kW; 634 PS) @ 7500rpm Torque: 413 lb·ft (560 N·m) @ 5500rpm 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h): 2.8 sec 0-100 mph (0-160 km/h): 5.8 sec 1/4 Mile (400m): 10.8 seconds at 138 mph (222 km/h) Top Speed: 220 mph (350 km/h)

What an amazing car! You can easily tell that by the Technical Specifications, but I also like the way it looks, because it looks so racy and aggressive! If you like going demonically fast and experience strong emotions this is your car…

Artega GT

This is the Artega GT a Porsche Cayman and 911 rival. The brand was made by Karlheinz Kalbfell an ex-BMW man who helped establish Rolls Royce and Mini. As he said the Company is here to stay and they are planning on a new model, but let’s talk about the GT. It has a V6 engine which produces 300bhpand has a Top Speed of 270km/h. The car was designed by Henrik Fisker (ex Aston Martin Designer, who now owns a car company called Fisker Automotive.)

Bentley Continental Supersports

This is the Bentley Continental Supersports, and it is the fastest Bentley Ever made… It has a lot of aggressive features such as the multiple grills, and the extensive use of Carbon Fiber in the exterior and interior… The Supersports is 85% recyclable making it highly Eco Friendly which is something you wouldn´t expect from a luxury sports car… It has a 5.998cc W12 engine which produces 639bhp and a Top Speed of 329km/h, and 0-100 in 3.9s… If you want one you will have to pay 331.000 Euros to own and drive it, but believe me it does worth it.

Bentley Mulsanne

This is the Bentley Mulsanne the new luxury saloon from the British company, which is planned to replace the previous Bentley Arnage. It has a new Design Philosophy which we will see in future Bentley cars… The exterior and the interior have a very sophisticated and luxury character and what surprises you are the impressive small details, in the interior such as the wood, the watch on the dashboard… Let’s just tell that the car has has style and most of all quality. One of this cars take 9 weeks to be made as it is completely hand-made, and in my opinion it is one of the most luxurious cars you can buy… (250.000 Euros)

Bentley Brooklands

Page 16: The Collection

“ If you won the lottery and wanted to spend a big wad of your new cash on a powerfull car, you might be temted by some sort of low-slung supercar. Or, you might realize that the ride would batter your ageing bones and that it would get snagged on every speed bump. At which point, you should go out and get one of these. Except they are only making 550 and every single one of them is sold. Bah! Bit of shame really, because is is a magnificent monster and about the only car that can truly give you a sense of what would be like to power-slide the Buckingham Palace…”

Jeremy Clarkson.

Bugatti 16c Galibier

Page 17: The Collection

ugatti 16c Galibier that´s the name of the new Bugatti 4-door super luxury saloon presented officially in the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. It does look so… fine and exclusive, but don’t be fooled by it’s smooth exterior features because it carries the W16 engine that the veyron does, and produces more than 900bhp, making it the fastest saloon on the market (2013)

Dodge Viper Srt10 ACR-X

Dodge has unveiled their new turn-key racer, the Viper SRT10 ACR-X.

Based on the Viper ACR, the ACR-X is a track-only race car designed to compete in the Viper Racing League, the Sports Car Club of America, and the National Auto Sport Association.

Power comes from an 8.4-liter V10 engine that produces 640 horsepower (40 hp more than the standard model). Other performance tweaks include a specially-tuned sports suspension, a 160 pound weight reduction (compared to the standard production Viper), improved aerodynamics (for increased downforce), and a complete safety package (with a roll cage, fuel cell and race seat).

Set to go into production this spring, the Viper ACR-X will be priced from approximately $110,000 USD.

Ferrari 458 Italia

This is the newest Ferrari 458 Italia, a real masterpiece. The car was designed by Pininfarina, and the result is stunning… Everything is new in this car from the headlights to the V8 engine. It mixes the excitement of the Scuderia with the comfort of an Audi. This car is supposed to be the replacement of the 430, and the truth is that the 458 is much better than the 430. They tested on the Fiorano circuit and it did the same Lap time as the Enzo and the Scuderia, 1.25s (2s faster than the 430…) Features: V8 engine, 4499cc, 562bhp, 0-100 in 3,4s, 202mph

18.9/20

Page 24: The Collection

Ferrari 430 Scuderia

Well, the 430 Scuderia is a limited edition, stripped out and track focused 430. Even the carpets have been removed to save weight, but we don’t really care… Ferrari seemed to be losing its real character these few years with all this technology, but the scuderia is pure passion. From the tyres to the stripes everything in the exterior is superb, visual drama. It has a V8 engine (4308bhp) which gives you 503bhp and a Top Speed of 200mph. It costs nearly 250.000 Euros and it is hard to find one, but it does worth it.

Ferrari 250 GTO

This is the all time classic Ferrari 250 GTO one of the most exclusive, beautiful and expensive cars you can buy (only on auctions…) It was known through its victorious winnings in the Le Mans series in 1964, and only 30 are in existence today, so if you want one you will have to pay several Millions…

Ferrari decided to pay a tribute to that marvelous car by making a limited 599 GTO version, based on the 2009 599 FXX car. The price of the car will be 270.000 Euros (base price…) and the client will be able to add several retro details such as all, time classic racing stripes.

Page 27: The Collection

Ford Focus RS500

As you will have noticed this book is full of exclusive and expensive cars, so what a Ford Focus is going here? Well it isn’t a normal Focus but the RS500 edition, only 500 of these are going to be made. Each Focus RS500 unit will be painted in matte black, and ride on blacked-out 19-inch alloys.  Red brake calipers can be seen behind the wheel.  Inside, driver and passenger will notice a console-mounted metal plate engraved with the car's ID number, as well as Recaro seats, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth, a six-disc Sony audio system, and more. Top speed is at 265 km/h. The improvements are due to a software update to the ECU, larger air intercooler, bigger air filter, better fuel pump, and a widened downpipe.

KTM X-BOW

The KTM X-BOW one of the most extreme cars you can buy. KTM is one of the best Mountain Bikes manufacture and its decision to make a sports car surprised us. The X-Bow has no doors or windscreen so you will need a helmet to drive it, all things that bring us to mind a bike. The X-Bow has a base price tag of 50.000 Euros for the normal version, but if you want something more exclusive you also have the X-BOW Race edition, only 600 are going to be made…

Koenigsegg Agera

This is what Koenigsegg presented in Geneva this year (2010) the concept Agera. It is based on the Koenigsegg CCX. Although it looks like it there are a lot of changes mostly on the front and back headlights. Where the back headlights are completely different at the fornt they added some LED ( that’s why they didn’t bought Saab they spent all thir money on those LED…) Also kept the same is the powerplant, a 4.7-liter V8 producing 910 PS (669 kW / 898 hp) at 6850 rpm and 1100 Nm (811 lb-ft) at 5100rpm.  With a dry weight of 1290kg (2832 lbs), sprint to 100 km/h transpires in 3.1 seconds, 200 km/h (124 mph) in 8.9 seconds and a top speed of 390+ km/h (245+ mph)… Wlile we still don’t know the price, Koenigsegg hopes to build 17 of these cars per year…

18/20

Page 30: The Collection

Koenigsegg CCXR

This the most exclusive and fast Koenigsegg you can buy. Only a few of these were made and surprisingly it runs on bio-fuel! The body kit as you can see it’s completely made of carbon fiber making it look amazingly exotic. Fuelled by biofuel, Koenigsegg CCXR Edition counts such victims as Ferrari Enzo, Porsche Carrera GT and Bugatti Veyron with its crushing 2.9 second time from 0 – 100km/h. Using a twin-supercharged 4.8-litre V8 for its 1018 bhp/ 759kW, the car is capable of 254mph-plus top speed runs. The most amazing? It produces 1018bhp… A lot of horses.

Page 31: The Collection

Christian von Koenigsegg, born and raised 1972 in Stockholm Sweden, came up with the dream to build his own sports car when he was only five years old. Throughout part of his youth Christian suppressed the urge to build his own car, but in 1994 he finally announced his car project plans. From past employment occupation, however, he had become known as someone who always followed his own beliefs and always completed what he began. Besides this, he was also accurate, technical and very industrious.

Koenigsegg CCX

This is the Koenigsegg CCX a supercar that changed the meaning of the Word supercar. People forgot about the Enzo or the Murcielago, and started dreaming of something different the Koenigsegg CCX…

Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera

This is the beautiful Fastest version of the Gallardo LP570-4 THE Superleggera. It was unveiled in Geneva and Oooh boy it is extremely hot! Superleggera means ‘superlight’ and 70kg has been cut from the kerbweight, giving the LP570-4 Gallardo a dry weight of 1340kg. Some of you might not be too impressed – the first-gen Superleggera was 100kg lighter than standard and tipped the scales at 1330kg – but you can't call Lamborghini's efforts half hearted. It has a V10 engine which produces 570 bhp!!!

Page 33: The Collection

Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV

It seems that among the bulls a new king was born, and it’s name? It is the Murcielago SV the last Murcielago ever made, as a replacement is beeing prepared… This V12 beast is the perfect example of a hardcore supercar. It has a lot of carbon fiber on it, and the spoiler is just… AWESOME! People at Lamborghini removed 100kg from the Murcielago so the SV was born. The final touch is a mildly reworked version of the 6.6-litre V12. The new exhaust, changes to the induction system and valve timing result in 661bhp, up from 631bhp in the standard car. Factor in the weight reduction and the power-to-weight ratio jumps by 43bhp to 422bhp per tonne.

Lamborghini Reventon

> So i couldn’t really end Lamborghini chapter without mentioning the Reventon, a shocking supercar which Lamborghini presented a couple of years ago. Are you Darth Vader? If yes, are you looking for a car to move around? If yes you have found it! It’s based on the sensationally proportioned LP640 Coupe, but has been dressed up by Satan’s personal tailor in a military hue. The Reventon is the ultimate limited edition Lamborghini – just 20 will be built, at a cost of €1,000,000 each, and all have already been snapped up. Eleven cars go to America, seven stay in Europe, one will be dispatched to Japan and one to Dubai.

Lancia Stratos

Page 39: The Collection

One of the most iconic rally cars ever, the Lancia Stratos. It was presented in 1970’s and started a new era as it was the first car that was designed from scratch for Rallying. The body work was designed by Bertone, and only 600 were made. Recently Lancia announced that it is working on a Stratos replacement for 2011…

Lexus LFA

Page 40: The Collection

So this is the Lexus LFA a car that we have been waiting a lot, as it took 9 years to be developed… Lexus claims that the new LFA is a proper supercar, a machine to be compared with the greatest Ferraris and Lamborghinis. It certainly is comparable on price: you’ll need 360,000 Euros to buy one!!! It has a Carbon Fiber body work, and a brand new V10 engine that produces 552bhp. It’s certainly rapid, though probably not as rapid as you’d hope. 0-100 takes 3.7s…

Lotus Evora

Page 41: The Collection

Congratulations to Lotus! With some aluminium, glue, a friend at the Toyota engineering department and a small budget they managed to make an impressive car, capable making a Porsche Cayman look dull. The evora is different from the other sport cars, no other car isolates the passenger from the road like the evora. It is as comfortable as a BMW 7 series and as fun as a Lotus! It has a V6 engine which produces 280bhp and a Top Speed of 261km/h

Maserati Gran Cabrio

The Maserati Gran Cabrio is definately one of the most beautiful cars one the market. It is the ¨topless¨ version of the Gran Turismo. The Gran Cabrio is Maserati’s first four seater convertible, and has the longest wheelbase on the market! The GranCabrio represents the very essence of Maserati in terms of open air motoring. It’s a Maserati in the purest sense of the word: from the unmistakable styling carried out by Pininfarina to the luxurious and spacious interior. From the craftsmanship of each detail to the driving pleasure and performance the Maserati GranCabrio enriches all five senses, without the need to sacrifice comfort and performance

Maybach Zeppelin

Daimler revived the Zeppelin name with the introduction of the Maybach Zeppelin at the Geneva Motor Show in 2009. Based on the Maybach 57 S and 62 S the Zeppelin maintains the same 6.0-liter V12 biturbo engine producing 640hp (471kW) and 1,000Nm of torque. This represents an power boost of 28hp compared to the regular models. Production is limited to just 100 units with pricing starting at €406,000 for the 57 Zeppelin and €473,200 for the longer 62 model.

2011 Maybach 62s

Daimler unveiled the facelift version for the Maybach line-up. The company made chances to the exterior design, interior comfort, but also added a more powerful engine. This is the last chance Daimler offered to Maybach before making a final decision on its future. The exterior chances include a new chrome radiator grille, a new front bumper and redesigned hood, re-styled side mirrors and new rear light clusters and new new-look 21-spoke, 19-inch wheels for the standard models and get 12-spoke, 20-inch wheels for the S ones. Also the 57S and 62S models are 11 mm longer and 17 mm wider. On the interior the limousine gets a hand-braided or crystal-encrusted seat piping, a 19-inch rear screen, a perfume atomiser and a wireless internet function. The 57S and 62S models are powered by a 12-cylinder engine that develops a total of 457 HP. The 57 and 62 models get a 6.0liter V12 supercharged and turbocharged engine that develops 542bhp. Fuel consumptions and CO2 emission has been lowered in both models…

Page 51: The Collection

Marussia B2

It was really a pleasant surprise to see that the small exclusive supercar company Marussia made something… so special. I love how the exterior looks, it is different from other supercars, it better! The car uses a Hybrid V6 Nissan engine which produces 240 bhp and it does 0-100 in 4s ( Mmm I think they could have managed something much faster…) The price of the car will be around to 140.000 Euros ( that’s an Audi R8 V10 or a used Lambo…) but I think that Russian Multimillionaires will like this car so Marussia will have clients. It is definitely one of the most radical cars these years, the only thing that spoils fun is the engine. Im not going to rate this car yet but i will soon… ( The Collection II)

From Russia with love…

McLaren MP4-12c

This is the McLaren MP4-12c the revolutionary supercar made by McLaren. The two-seat MP4-12C has a 3.8-litre twin turbo petrol engine developed in collaboration with Ricardo. Maximum power output is a blazing 441 kW (592 bhp / 600 PS) developed at 7,000 rpm. The engine can rev all the way up to a dizzy 8,500 rpm. Its peak torque rivals some of the most powerful turbo diesels out there at 599 Nm (442 lb-ft) from 3,000 rpm. Apparently 479 Nm (353 lb-ft) of that is already available from 2,000 rpm. Performance figures are not available yet but expect 0 - 100 km/h figures in the very low 3s and a top speed well over 300 km/h (186 mph).

Mosler MT900 GTR XX Twin Turbo Land Shark

Page 60: The Collection

Nicknamed "The Land Shark", this car weighs a full 250 kg (551 lbs) less than the already lightened GTR XX, coming in at 861 kg (1898 lbs) with its fuel tanks full. Yes, we said "tanks", as in plural. This car runs on a multi-fuel system using petrol, methanol, hydrogen, and ethanol. Gocha claims that the use of multiple fuels means he was able to register his car as a "hybrid" in California, meaning he gets to take this monster into the often wide-open carpool lanes of Los Angeles! While the MT900 GTR normally goes from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds, Gocha claims his version gets there in just over 2.5 seconds. His car allegedly hits 150 mph in 6.7 seconds, and 250 mph in 17.5 seconds. The car is capable of a nine second quarter-mile, reaching 178 mph by the time it gets there. Even more astonishing is the sprint to stop time. This car allegedly goes from zero to 150mph and back to a dead stop in 8.7 seconds. That's even faster than the Ultima GTR 0-100-0 time of 9.4 seconds, which seems remarkable.

Noble M600

The British brand Noble has recently presented the M600 a terrifying machine. Noble wanted to give it’s clients a pure racing experience, so they didn’t installed ABS, or stability control, so imagine that combined with its V8 engine capable of reaching 362km/h (0-100 in 3.0s!!!) ! The car has Traction control which can be turned off by the driver. Perfect! A real racing experience, where can I buy it? Not so fast because you will have to pay 300.000 Euros fot it, and lets be sincere. You would prefer a Ferrari 458 Italia…

Pagani Zonda F

Page 63: The Collection

This is the Pagani Zonda F one of the most exclusive and exotic supercars you can buy. The 7.3-litre AMG-tuned Mercedes V12 is the most complex part of the car by a long way, but it’s still relatively unstressed, produces 560lb ft of torque and powers the carbon-tubbed, 1230kg supercar to 216mph. Pagani’s customers include mega-rich businessmen, royalty and sporting stars, they’re not necessarily the world’s best driver and in this car they don’t need to be. Only 25 are going to be made… The cost? +500.000 Euros.

Built alongside the regular production version, the Zonda F is Pagani's top model and a tribute to five-time world champion Juan Manuel Fangio. While the F shares the same basic shape with all Zondas, it has new aerodynamic devices, an upgraded drive train, larger wheels and ceramic brakes…

Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster

The Pagani roadcar model range would not be complete without a Roadster version of the Zonda Cinque. As the name implies it is created in the Modenese Atelier in a limited production run of merely five exclusive pieces like its coupé sister. Whether you opt for a relaxed country drive in Tuscany’s hills, visiting Florence and other centres of the Italian Renaissance, or a record hunt at the Nürburgring, this 1.3 milion Euro + taxes jewel will reward with every day drivability and ultimate performance thanks to the different drive modes of the sequential robostised gearbox and an adjustable suspension setup that feels at home as well at the racetrack as on bumpy roads. It has the same V12 Mercedes engine as the Zonda F.

Pagani Zonda Cinque

Page 66: The Collection

Pagani’s customers were clamouring for a road-going version of the Zonda R, so they gave them the 1.3 Million (+taxes) Cinque… Only 5 were made.

Pagani Zonda R

If Pagani does get invited to Top Gear for a lap, I reckon the Stig will feel right at home in the Zonda R, and that the Zonda will feel right at home on the track. In fact, from the data we’ve seen of the R on barely warm slicks, carrying 70kg of anxious ballast and with a handy driver just getting used to the track, not even the FXX will be able to resist.

← Pagani is the best car company…

They don’t make cars, they make V12 dreams.

Pagani Zonda Tricolore

Page 67: The Collection

This is the Pagani Zonda Tricolore and Its purpose is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Italian equivalent of the British Red Arrows Display team which is known as the ‘Frecce Tricolori'. A clear blue lacquer (polish) coating and Frecce Tricori-mimicking strips running on the sides of the car complete the impressive body look.

This once-off Zonda Tricolore will be priced at an eye-watering €1.3 million (US$1.76 million).

Pagani Zonda PS

Page 69: The Collection

As if a Pagani Zonda on its own wasn't enough exclusivity, an English customer by the name of Peter Saywell had himself this exclusive example specially designed. Saywell is apparently a supercar nut who owns exotics such as the Koenigsegg CCX, the Lamborghini LP640, the Porsche Carrera GT and a Techart GTStreet. And these are not all the cars in his garages either.

Sources say this one, spotted on its way to this year's Le Mans 24 hour, is built on the Zonda F chassis. More special is that a gearbox to be used in the upcoming C9 has been fitted in the car. It sports a modified exhaust system with unique tailpipes. The normal Zonda F displays four tailpipes that make a square shape and are housed inside a circle. This one features a flat layout inside a long horizontal oval. The rear diffuser is different too and seems as large as the one on the Zonda Cinque.

Yet the car is also different from the Cinque. For example there are no ram air scoops on the roof, and no air vents on the wheel arches. But again, the Cinque has been shown with normal Zonda pipes.

Pininfarina Hyperion

Page 70: The Collection

The Hyperion was created as a special project by Pininfarina after being commissioned by a car collector named Roland Hall. Sorces say that this car has a price tag of 4.5 Million Euros!!!

The design and coach-building house set out to create something inspired by the opulent cars of the 1930s. They used Mr Hall's Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe as a basis but removed the rear seats to free up some 400mm of space. Pininfarina chose carbon fiber for the bodywork (apart from the wooden doors) as opposed to the aluminium spaceframe used in the factory Drophead Coupe.

Although inspired by cars of yesteryears, the Hyperion features modern touches of technology such as LED bulbs and bixenon headlights. The Rolls-Royce Spirit of ecstasy poses firmly atop the shiny front grille…

Porsche Panamera

Page 72: The Collection

The designers of the Panamera have succeeded in positioning this unique car as a brand-new and truly different model while nevertheless retaining the looks of a typical Porsche. Through its proportions alone, the Panamera stands out clearly in its market segment: measuring 1931 millimetres or 76.0 inches in width, the Panamera is wider, and measuring 1418 millimetres or 55.8 inches in height, lower than comparable four-door models. The unmistakable, sleek GT silhouette is created by the car’s overall length of 4970 millimetres or 195.7 inches and short, sporting overhangs front and rear. In its styling and details, the Panamera follows the design philosophy refined over decades on the 911 and successfully implemented also on the Boxster, Cayman and Cayenne…

Porsche 918 Spyder Concept

Page 73: The Collection

The 918 Spyder concept combines high-tech racing features with electric-mobility to offer a fascinating range of qualities. For example, it is planned to provide an emission level of just 70 grams of CO2 per kilometer on fuel consumption of only three liters/100 kilometers (equal to approximately 78 mpg U.S.), which is truly outstanding, even for an ultra-compact city car. This car, however, is intended to offer the performance of a super sports car with acceleration from a standstill to 100 km/h in just under 3.2 seconds, top speed of 320 km/h (198 mph), and a lap time on the Nordschleife of Nurburgring in less than 7:30 minutes, faster than the Porsche Carrera GT.

Rolls Royce Silver Ghost

Page 76: The Collection

This is the new Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, a smaller and more economical solution to the Phantom. The design of the car is superb and really What the RR design team was seeking to create was a modern Rolls-Royce that achieved a new dynamism but remained true to its luxurious heritage. They had found inspiration in contemporary furniture, architecture and yachts but also in the spirit of the 1930s – that sense of adventure and endeavour – which they wanted to capture in the character of this new car. Ghost is powered by a brand new, 6.6 litre twin-turbo V12 engine, unique to the model. Featuring direct injection, it produces 563bhp – enough to propel Ghost from 0-60 mph in just 4.7 seconds* and on to an electronically governed top speed of 155mph. With 780 Nm of torque available at just 1,500rpm, delivery of power is immediate and extremely smooth…

Rolls Royce Phantom

Page 78: The Collection

This Mansory Rolls Royce Ghost might divide opinion but it will certainly garner plenty of stares at the Geneva Motor Show. The main attention-grabber is the body which is finished in a Gold and Blue varnish. Blue is pretty much all over the bodywork while gold is peppered on pieces such as the front grille, front wheel houses and door handles.

Thanks to larger twin turbos, ECU optimisation, a sports manifold and sports catalysers, the Mansory Ghost now kicks out 530kW (720 PS / 710 hp) at 5,850rpm. Torque was increased from 780Nm to 1,020Nm (752 lb-ft). The car is now claimed to sprint from 0 - 100km/h in 4.4 seconds with a top end of 310km/h (192.6 mph).

Spyker C8 Aileron

The design of the hand-crafted Spyker C8 Aileron represents the latest evolution of Spyker’s signature architecture, which is prominently inspired by the company’s aviation heritage. In the first-generation cars, the propeller design was consistently applied to many elements of the cars. Within the design of the new Spyker C8 Aileron, the emphasis was shifted from the propeller propulsion to the turbine propulsion. As a result, for instance, the bright polished air inlets were converted into turbine-engineshaped air scoops. The Spyker C8 Aileron will use the Audi 4.2 litre V8 engine, giving 400 bhp and will be available with two transmission alternatives. The first one is a 6-speed Getrag manual gearbox, with ratios perfectly matched to the V8 engine. This is joined by a ZF 6-speed automatic gearbox, which comes standard with paddle shifts behind the steering wheel, to progress smoothly through the ratios. Both transmissions retain Spyker’s trademark exposed gear change mechanism… In general the car is just superb.

Tesla Roadster S

Page 82: The Collection

Tesla Motors plans to build a right-hand-drive variant of the Tesla Roadster electric car.  The company's first RHD model is at the Tesla dealership in London, and is being made available for test drives.

However, speculation has been running wild that Tesla may cancel the Roadster altogether.  Tesla, which is readying an IPO, wrote in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that they "do not plan to sell [the] current generation Tesla Roadster due to planned tooling changes at a supplier for the Tesla Roadster."  As Wired reports, the two-seater is based on the Lotus Elise, and a new generation of the Elise is expected for 2012.

So when it comes to the now-marketed right-hand-drive Roadster, caveat emptor.

Still, if you're willing to risk the car's deposit money, the specs are still impressive.  The company estimates a 200-mile range for the Roadster, with recharge taking around four hours on a 220-volt outlet.  The car has a 0-60 mph time of 3.7 seconds, and an electronically-limited top speed of 125 mph.

Bentley Continental Flying Star

Page 83: The Collection

Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera is a coachbuilder that has been around since 1926. Introduced at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, this Bentley Continental Flying Star is a limited-production shooting brake inspired by Bentley's latest Grand Tourers. The GTC chassis was retained while its 6.0-litre W12 engine is available in either a 553 bhp, 650Nm version or a 740 bhp Speed variant. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The 0 -100km/h sprint takes an estimated 4.8 seconds and top speed is expected to hit 322km/h.

The car is not just for show but will be produced per order in limited numbers of up to 20 units at €590,000 for the base model.

Zenvo ST1

Page 84: The Collection

A car whose power figures outdo the Bugatti Veyron?

This is the Zenvo ST1, introduced last year, now with new high-def pics and video available for your indulgence.

The Zenvo ST1 is a Danish supercar that comes with a 7.0 liter V8, both supercharged and turbocharged to 1104 bhp and 1430 Nm of torque. The top speed is limited to 375km/h.

Yes, that engine beats the Veyron's 8.0 liter 16-cylinder engine with 1001 hp and 1250 Nm of torque. 0 to 100 km/h or lap time sprints is another matter, the Veyron being a pretty heavy vehicle, but both break the 3 second mark on the former.

The ST1 will be limited to a series of only 15 units produced. The price? 800.000 Euros…
