Seller Insight “As well as being fully renovated, the property has been extended and given a lovely open-feeling layout. We have

a beautiful kitchen that flows straight into the dining room, and two extremely large sitting rooms; one of which has two sets of sliding doors that open into the orangery, and the other has a huge feature fireplace that was built using the stones from the old stable flooring.”

“I’d say that the drawing room with its huge open fireplace is probably my favourite part of the house,” says the owner. “The children call it ‘the Christmas lounge’, but it’s just a lovely big room with a really nice atmosphere.”

“When we converted the property we planted some yew hedges to form a really pretty ‘secret’ garden,” says the owner, “and it’s a lovely space for quiet contemplation.”

“Living here we feel extremely close to everything,” says the owner. “The village has a few shops and a very nice pub just a stroll away, and the road and rail links are excellent, so it’s an ideal base for those commuting into London. However, when we come home we’re surrounded by countryside, the views are glorious and it’s so very peaceful; we feel as if we have the best of both worlds.
